There's a lot of videogame series' out there, and plenty of them are due for a sequel. Which ones would you like to see have another installment, and what would you like to see in them? (Note: I originally intended this post to just be about Nintendo games, but then realized it could apply to all games, so let's divide it into two categories: Nintendo and non-Nintendo.)

Freespace.

The second one was the best game in the genre, bar none... but now the genre is quite dead and the property is in a legal limbo, so I guess that will never happen.

Psychonauts, definitely Psychonauts. I'll be a happy camper if/when that happens.

Megaman Legends.
Capcom, I will honestly forgive you for many things if you actually release the damn game!

Seeing as someone already said Freespace (surprising, usually I'm the only one to say Freespace), Persona NEEDS SEQUELS!

I would love to see a new Half-Life although at this rate it will be after the end of time. Although a sequel to Psychonauts would be great.

Fallout. I require more Fallout. The universe lends itself to so many possibilities.

I think Timesplitters 4 would be prety damn sweet, especially seeing as how the current three titles just got progressively better. I have to disagree with the Psychonauts suggestion, however, as I feel that that individual title nedds no tampering with, and the any attempts to improve might bugger the formula. Also, whilst I'd like to see more Persona games, I hear that Catherine was basically their spiritual successor which wasn't that great, so I'd be wary - however, consiering the difference in their actual content I think a Persona 5 specifically dedicated to being a Persona game could go down very well.

-Bioshock
-Fallout
-Dark Souls
-Mass Effect

-Half-Life... but... until Valve figures out what they want to do next, I rather not think about it. :p

Silent Hill (Yeah, yeah, I know, there are a bunch but I want more, damnit!)

Timesplitters (Go on, disagree, I dare you. I double dare you motherf**ker!)

Sleeping Dogs (Kung-Fu GTA with better driving and shooting? I'm in. If they made the plot a bit better, maybe added branching paths it could be better than GTA and Saints Row.)

Homefront (So... Much... Potential!)
The Darkness (Tentacles and guns (and Japanese schoolgirls?) and story and oh my God, so good. Ended on a cliff hanger too...)

Condemned (Let's forget about that 1 third of Condemned 2 that was utterly ridiculous and focus on the merits. It had the only truly visceral and competent first person melee system and brilliant atmosphere. It would be a crime to not make more...)

Steel Battalion (Okay, honestly, I just want them to port it to PS3 for move, or Wii U, or let me use a fucking controller. I want to play this game, Heavy Armor, but I can't... How about a "You can play it without it bending you over and fucking you" edition! Huh!?)

Monkey Island. Preferably with as much input from the original writers as possible,
but a telltale games second series would still be really good.

Luckily the genre is looking to be spiritually revived with the coming of Star Citizen. Though it is a kickstarter product with no guarantee that what we are going to get will be good, but still it is a hope.

Honestly, after 14 years of playing Fallout games, I'm getting a bit burned out on the franchise. I would be interested in another post apocalyptic RPG, but I would like to see a new IP. I absolutely adored Fallout for years, but I think I'm ready for a change.

And yes, I also would like to see Alpha Protocol 2, provided that it's made by Obsidian.

Also, I'd be interested in a story-based Star Trek RPG, although I would want it set on a new ship with an original crew, rather than just having you plopped onto the Enterprise.

Skies of Arcadia. One of Sega's promising IPs that they let gather dust to make yet another Sonic game.

other choices include:
-the Advance Wars series.
-F-Zero for the WiiU.
-another 3D Bomberman game.
-alpha protocol 2. there was potential in the first one.

Medievil. I guess Sony hasn't completely forgotten about it, considering that Daniel Fortesque is in the Sony Smash Bros thing.

Langriser or it's similar clone Advanced Wars on a bigscreen console or PC. Theres a distinct shortage of quality simple TRPGs, as the few that are available are on handhelds plus are heavily stat based with RPG grinding. I prefer my TRPGs to be simple chess like games. Might And Magic: Clash of Heroes of another such game (so is the original Shining Force)

Also
Wipeout, F-Zero, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Sin & Punishment, Zone Of Enders, Quake / Doom Single Player /MP, SoulReaver, Age of Wonders, Homeworld, Akia Katana, Dust an Eysian Tail, Aquaria, Noitu Love, Gradius, Outland, Ys (on PC), Skull Girls, Hogs of War, 2D Castlevania, Contra & Metroid

Also Wartech: Senko No Ronde, Virtual-Ontaro, Twinkle Star Sprites which are all unique 1 VS 1 fighter / shmup hybrids that deserve to be popular as Street Fighter 4 and Halo MP.

EDIT

Also Beat 'em ups like Streets of Rage, Golden Axe & Guardian Heroes in REAL 2D spritework not the crappy 3D modelling like Double Dragon XBLA is.

Oh yes, a thousand yes votes to that. Also I'd rather like to see another Bully game, perhaps set in a British boarding school, new characters, storyline etc.
