I know its a silly pipe dream, but actual metal.

Decapitated in Rock Band would be fantastic, and it actually would be a challenge.

I'd want The Flood, On To The Next One, or Not Good Enough by Escape The Fate.
but then anytime a song goes on GH or RB all the teeny kids think they know the band and then they'd get all mainstream.
and that'd suck.
so I'll go with Injection by Rise Against. =)

More Dragonforce. Then laugh at my friends for trying to play on expert guitar and vocals. Then let them laugh at me.

Obviously one thats not all ready in either games set-list...well you could always mention you are pleased a particular song is in there.

Personally I would have to choose Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. (I don't think its on there if it is please correct me).

So, whats yours?

First off, think about what you just say by Stairway to Heaven. Its really vocals and guitar, with little bass and drums; none at all for half the song. It's really not an ideal song for gameplay, but for rocker stereotype and general awesomeness, couldn't pick a better one.

Me personally could use a Rick Astley track pack (some songs have really whoop-ass guitar solos), or Guns 'n' Roses. Two songs aren't enough. Lets see some Paradise City.

Don't put in a song from a band that can't actaully play it on the real instruments.

Oh, I like making lists of songs I want to see in these games. They get quite exhaustive. For example:

Slide - The Goo-Goo Dolls
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Knocking on Heaven's Door - Guns & Roses
Little Things - Bush
All Torn Down - The Living End
Save the Day - The Living End
Hemmorhage (In My Hands) - Fuel
Fever for the Flava - Hot Action Cop
Give It Away - The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Otherside - The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Come Out and Play - The Offspring
Original Prankster - The Offspring
The Rock Show - Blink 182
Betterman - John Butler Trio
I Hate Everything About You - 3 Days Grace
Wake Up - 3 Days Grace
Take Me Under - 3 Days Grace
Unforgiven II - Metallica
Prayer - Disturbed
Gravity - The Superjesus
Real World - Matchbox 20
Mama - My Chemical Romance
Hate - Machinae Supremacy
Every You, Every Me - Placebo

And I still say whichever series gets 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' first will win. Frankly it's ridiculous it's taken them this long, but I imagine a song that massive would cost a FORTUNE in licensing.
Take note that 2 songs here are actaully on the rock band.

Any - and I mean any - song by Protest the Hero. The Bassist and Guitars'd have a challenge, that's for sure.
Also, some Rise Against (Survive would be my choice of song), The Clash (maybe some of their more reggae influenced songs), and the aforementioned Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.

They should try branching out the genres they use, in my opinion; some ska, like Reel Big Fish or Rancid (certain songs, anyway) would be interesting; or some death metal, such as Cannibal Corpse or As The Sun Sets (the only problem would be the vocals... and the fact that it isn't very commercial).
