There are a whole host of songs by At the Drive-In that I would love to see on one of these games (I still haven't had a chance to play through One-Armed Scissor on Guitar Hero: World Tour). I tihnk some Simon & Garfunkel would be cool for one of those games. I don't really listen to a lot of music I feel would work very well for these games and I listen to a good deal of Hip-Hop which (as demonstrated by me getting 100% on the Beastie Boys by just talking about why rapping doesn't work on Rock Band instead of even attempting to do anything anything like the lyrics) doesn't work all that well.
And when are they going to add the violin to the band?

-Shut Me Up by Mindless Self Indulgence

Unfortunately, none of these will ever happen.
Song 2 will be on Lego Rock Band. =p

Does anyone think any form of classical guitar would work in Guitar Hero; maybe as a solo pack?

Incidentally, here's Rock band's list: http://www.rockband.com/music/songs

Click the "Added" twice to see latest at the top.

They have a request page too: http://www.rockband.com/request

It's on a timer, so you have to wait a couple of minutes between submissions.

One more suggestion: Da Vinci's Notebook: Internet Porn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxYVBNhJ3pc

EDIT: oh, heck, I forgot game songs and weird anime and movies. There's so much more to want!

Well, for a start, I want "Y'know" by Priss Asagiri: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQZ1Kb6cWZw

Also the theme from Das Boot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ9d7hVo3Ro

Wasted Time: Skid Row would be epic for vocals.
Kickstart My Heart: Motley Crue for the whole band.

And Enter Sandman is on at least three of these games.

I doubt you did search. I've seen it before.

Although I will indulge myself in a most quality topic.

Audioslave, Aquabats, Blink-182, more Dream Theater, Daft Punk, and Vampire Weekend. Fun for the game and good music, why not?

System of A Down could definitely carry their own game.
As long as we didn't get too much of the last two albums.
