So we've all got a few stereotypes about us depending on our nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, whatever. Undoubtedly, those various groupings will have stereotypes attached to them.

Now we all know stereotypes are wrongm, that not every person in a particular group will neccesarily follow them, but at the same time, there are probably a few stereotypes we just end up embodying perfectly.

For me, I'm American, and I like to regard myself as generally distinct from our stereotype. I don't own a gun, I don't have an obsessive love for my country, I like to consider myself generally informed about the rest of the world. At the same time, there are two stereotypes about Americans that I shamelessly follow.

I love Apple pie and I love baseball. One of my favorite foods and my favorite sport.

How about you?

I thought the point was that the British didn't get braces and thus had crooked teeth as adults? Whereas Americans are obsessed with those creepy chicklet style teeth celebrities get.

Well, I know one perosn who is against braces.
I had a dilema about it because I thought it was kinda shallow. Would it make a difference to me or anyone else? And if it did I wouldn't want it.
People annoyingly responded with their brand of trying to make me feel better with "A good smile always means a lot to me."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGH!

I'm quite tight with money, more careful than stingy; I refuse to buy something unless I really need or want it, but I lend money to my mates regularly. That's about it.
I am not a racist though (can't afford to be being part English), not alcoholic (I now abstain from alcohol; dry for three months so far), I am not ginger-haired and hate haggis.

Well, for one, I suck at Hockey.

However! I do patrol the frozen wastes with my Mountie friends on my Polar Bear, and every so often we stop for Maple Syrup and Bacon inside the nearby igloo's.

I'm irish. I'm short and I drink a lot.

I lack the accent though so I will never be a true irishman. I can fight all I want but I will forever remain a pretender.
I am just a sad midget in a fake ginger beard. Feel my sorrow.

Errm what else...oh while my accent might sound "posh" to those American people i speak to from time to time, i can assure you im very middle class. I just dont mew the english language like some chav from croxteth.

I have an unhealthy obsession with shoes.
I'm very good at hiding my emotions (British stiff upper lip!).
I drink enough tea to drown a small elephant every day.
I wear corsets a lot and long skirts.

Oh and I have bright purple hair... maybe not such an English gentlewoman afterall...

OK OP, so you do mean "observe" as in observing a holiday.

I'm white and I dance terribly.
I'm a geek and I wear glasses.
I both play retro games and think that current-gen games are largely missing something.
I'm not any good at sports and I have no interest in them (the two are mutually exclusive).

I am an overweight gamer. I can't play basketball because the fatness keeps me from being any good at it. I am Irish and love potatoes.

I'm an American who is currently sitting a few feet away from 2 baseball bobbleheads, Canadian baseball bobbleheads. And as someone who's half French-Canadian, I like to think of myself as the stereotypical nice Canadian, who says "sorry" for everything he does. That's something quite odd to most people here in New York.
