Star Trek (ToS/Motion Picture/New Reboot- not so much TNG or any of the other spin-offs) - Captain of a Starship in the Trek Universe just seems to be beyond awesome.

It seems so much fore tangible and exciting than the fantasy setting of Star Wars.

Plus since the re-boot their not all "patsies to make Kirk look awesome".

I'll bet any money someone says Halo:p
and for me, Soul Society fro the Bleach games, I also think I'd be a Vaizard :D
I could have guessed that. *avatar*

Any way it would be in the One Piece universe, and I would be a pirate with a claymore.

Star Wars and I'd be Kyle Katarn
Star Trek and I'd be Worf
Warhammer 40k and I'd be a Grey Knight
Gears of War and I'd be a faceless gear.
Warmachine universe and I'd be a widowmaker

Hard to say because there are a great deal of game and/or book universes I would like to live in. The top ones are:

1) Final Fantasy (any I suppose but preferably 7, 8 or 9's universes) because I love the stories and I want to be able to summon humongous monsters down from the sky. Especially Bahamut...he rules. As for who I would be in Final Fantasy multiverse, I would hang around with the main characters because they have the all the cool adventures and I'd hate to get given the choice of living in any universe I want to and get stuck as some homeless dude in the slums of Midgar (especially sector 7 *grimaces*).

2) The universe of Warhammer 40k, where I would be a Space Marine...a Captain, Chapter Master or Psyker for preference (Like a Psyker Captain). As for which chapter I would be in the Dark Angels, Blood Angels and Black Templars are all cool (although if I was in the Black Templars I wouldn't be able to be a Psyker) but I like the idea of having my own Chapter.

3) The Discworld universe. I'd want to be either a Wizard (got to love an institution where all the senior members are mad, lazy and so old they no longer care what anyone in general thinks of them) and get to spend all of my time "learning" (see: lazing around doing a whole lot of nothing in particular and eating) or I'd want to be a Witch because they're awesome. And yes...I'm fully aware that Witches in the Discworld are all female but I refuse to let that stop me, I'd go sit outside Granny Weatherwax's house (best Witch ever!) until she agreed to teach me.

there you have it...universes...woo
Granny is too stubborn though Nanny Ogg might teach ya for a "trade". One must contemplate whether the powers of the witch would be worth nights with Nanny.

Wish you could do assassin school AND wizard school.
*shudders*

Oh lord...why..WHY?!

Thank you dear sir for traumatising me, it had been a while. That being said I think if I proved to Granny Weatherwax that I wasn't going to back down or whatever then eventually she'd teach me...I reckon I'd be waiting for a while...so I'd come prepared, I'd have shelter and food and entertainment and the like. And as for witchy powers...it's more like applied psychology...it's part of what makes Granny Weatherwax so awesome. And I don't think I'll be "trading" (see: giving) any "favours" with Nanny Ogg, at least, nothing of THAT nature.

And yes, assassin school and wizard school combined would be awesome. But think of the carnage!

Star Trek: No poverty, no internal wars, no hunger, most diseases cured and people free to do and try different things as they fancy.

I'd live as your standard human. Not on Earth, but on a space station somewhere removed from borders.

I have to say Star Wars, work as an engineer and freelance pilot on Corellia. Either in the Old Republic or post galactic civil war. Or potentially Carl Sagan in the 70's.

I would be a Sangheili (elite) seperatist fighting alongside humans in the Halo universe serving on board a human ship. People would discriminate against me for my race's history but I would perservere and ignore them, fighting for what is right and slowly gaining their respect until I eventually become a respected member of their army.

Kind of like my history on the escapist....

Alternatively Oblivion as an Argonian who joins the blades.
Can I try your beam saber/arkviri katana?

Also, I can recall answering this three times in other threads. Just look in there.

Upon searching I only found a topic specifically about being a main character in a game series (e.g. Master Chief in Halo).

I wanted to expand it a bit more (books and films for example) and give people the chance to choose their own role in that universe, as opposed to being forced into someone else's shoes like we usually do in games.

I did say it would seem similar at first. =P

I want to live in the LEGO universe. Think of the possibilities. I could be a Blacktron or a Spyrius with robots or one of the crazy new sets, I think one is miners. But then I'd have to deal with Batman, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter among all the other franchises that LEGO hasn't gotten rights to yet. What if they made HALO LEGO? :0

I'd love to live in the Twilight Princess version of Hyrule. If I did, I'd be that guy who sits in the Castle Town main square and comments on how people behave based on their work load.
