Hate to burst your bubble, but the Aliens don't have eyes so really you couldn't see in the dark; you couldn't see period. They have to give you a visual interface in the game because we haven't discovered a way to stimulate all the other senses in video games yet. And even if we did, manoeuvring purely by sound, smell, touch etc. would be really awkward for a ordinary gamer. Plus there wouldn't be those spellbinding graphics to capitalize on.

OT: Has to be strictly video game eh? Geth.

An awesome thread here, but people are somewhat un-inventive. For me, it's not an easy choice - there are many good picks - but most likely...

A Lombax, of course. What else did you expect?

For those of you who don't know: Lombaxes are capable repairmen, clever inventors, very adventurous, and completely badass. And in addition to all of that, they're cuddly. Who wouldn't want to be one?

In case that dosen't fly with someone, i'll say that turians are also very, very cool. But still not as cool as Lombaxes for me.

I'm going to go with being a Turian or an Asari from the Mass Effect universe. The Turians due to epic badassery, or an Asari for the long-life span. Yes, that would require becoming female... but STILL. 1000 years!
