It's a three way tie between living on the Citadel in Mass Effect, adventuring and contesting with Umbreon, Espeon, Charizard, Garidos, Houndoom and Bayleef in the Poke-verse or treasure hunting with Nathan Drake in Uncharted.

More so with Mass Effect and Pokemon, but I think I'd have to go with Mass Effect verse.

pokemon by far, it just kicks ass. Your pets have super powers, no bloody wars. Perfect place.

Everyone knows fallout would be most fun, get radiation poisoning, have all your hair fall out then suffer a slow and painful death...

Or something like the warhammer 40k universe, get yourself some of that sweet genetic engineering and blow some xenos away. Or if you get to pick your race and such, blowing some minds (literally) as a farseer would be fun.

I'll say Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time. Just for the sake of space travel and having a range of developed and underdeveloped planets to visit.

Pokemon also seems like a good one.

Pokemon: Because I can capture super powerful animals and force them to do my bidding.

or

The Elder Scrolls: Because of the expansive and complex world, magic and, of course, furries.

Mass Effect would be cool especially the never dieing unless Shepard wants you to. A bunch of Japanese games if you know what I mean uhh man I know there are others but I don't feel like looking them up.
Oh I know what you mean. Winged hair, unrealistically attractive bitches throwin' themselves at you, and massive, fuck-off swords.

Edit - Although pit-fighting elemental animals sounds dope (That's what pokemon is.), as does being an unfortunate SOB stuck in Raccoon City. I mean, as long as I had a shotgun. And the Capital Wasteland a pretty sweet place. I'd like to fuck-over the Brotherhood and salvage tech for Doc Li. Even the Capital Brotherhood is chock-full of asswipes.

Megaman battle network. It'd be nice if all my problems could be solved by netbattling lol
Hahahaha. I always found that odd: "Oh no, a ten year old is telling me to stop my evil ways ... well, I better get out my PeT and challenge him to a netbattle, given my lack of other evil options".

OT: Oblivion seems cool. Like another poster has said, magic and stuff doesn't seem based on being 'the chosen one', meaning anyone could be incredibly powerful, and yet no-one really is. Though the monster scaling would be brutal, you'd be better off being a warrior that uses magic, so that you don't level up.

I'd have to say Pokemon...
What I wouldn't give to have a magical, fiercely loyal pet.

Of course, the world itself kind of makes no sense, so either the world would be a lot darker than it's portrayed in games, or there'd be no weight to any of my hardships.

Both are fine, so long as I can get an Umbreon to fight beside me.

My answer is Mass Effect because of all the cool things that go down there (maybe I could track down Verner.)
Too bad Equestria is not in a video game (as far as I know), already have a character for that one....

I've thought of a few games i would love to be in, but on the top of that list i would have to put the Fire Emblem Series as my #1 choice (Particularly Path of Radiance). With all the weapons, magic, mystical creatures and lovable characters how could you go wrong?

Others i would also choose would include:

Pokemon (who wouldn't love it?)
Team Fortress 2 (respawning upon death, manic competition, no complaints here :p)
Portal (Portal Gun? Yes Please!)
Skies of Arcadia (I wanna be a blue rogue ^_^)

Most likely the yugioh universe because all problems should be settled through children's card games.
