Mass Effect for one simple reason, the Asari. It 's not just the monogender thing or the ability to mate with anyone, it's that they're blue. I love blue. Also, there's some awesome technology or whatever... Blue women!!

Going with the majority (I think) Pokemon, it's just, just AWESOME. Either that or Persona 3.

I'd have to say Pokemon...
What I wouldn't give to have a magical, fiercely loyal pet.

Of course, the world itself kind of makes no sense, so either the world would be a lot darker than it's portrayed in games, or there'd be no weight to any of my hardships.

Both are fine, so long as I can get an Umbreon to fight beside me.

Hyllis from Beyond Good and Evil. And when I die, the 8th underworld, from Grim Fandango.

seriously am I the only one who would chose the Pokemon world?
think about it a gigantic world full of monsters you can capture and train and use to travel even further battling against gyms, other trainers, not to mention the possibility of battling/joining any of the "evil" teams

yep that would be the life fuck school and college travel the world and capture monsters to fight other people

Not really, nearly every other post here said Pokemon. I wouldn't mind living in Rapture before it all went to shit. Living the high life under the sea, buying the ability to shoot fire from your hands. It would be pretty sweet. Eventually I'd probably turn into a drug addict and get wrenched though so generally it's probably a bad choice.

Is it bad that I guessed most of the responses would be Mass Effect before I even clicked on the link?

I suppose it's because the Mass Effect universe would allow most people to live out their normal lives as shop-assistants/computer-programmers/accountants/etc. without much change. It's just like the modern world, except people come in more colours and your commute can extend to a different star system.

Most other video game worlds (except for Pokemon) have some reason that you REALLY wouldn't want to live there. E.g. Everyone is startlingly racist (Dragon Age Origins); leprosy is at epidemic levels (Assassin's Creed); demons are constantly murdering your neighbours (Devil May Cry); or the only women in existence are either insane or part-cyborg (Borderlands).

With that in mind, I'll live in the world of Viva Pinata. Because gardening is quite fun and no one minds if you take out your frustrations on the wildlife.

Morrowind, of course. Even if I did age there, I could spend a week working on my alchemy and sell enough potions to make enough money for a constant effect healing ring. I'd be a god.

...Think I'd stick to Balmora, though, before my ascension to godhood, anyway. Bit dangerous everywhere else.

Recettear; an item shop's tale, it seems like a pretty happy place. Then again, I could go for any JRPG with the same mood I suppose.

Mass Effect.

Although the Fallout one might be interesting, as long as it's only temporary and you're immortal.

Perverted side- Dead Or Alive Extrme Beach Volleyball (they would reject me anyway).

Normal side- Either Animal Crossing (the only thing I got to worry about is my debt for that god danm Racoon but at least the world is not in peril or any monster about) or Plunder Island in Curse of Monkey Island (it look like a pleasant island despite there are only ten people or so lving there).

Hands down EVE... Or any other space sim where you can just travel around in your spaceship, see all kinds of different shit and be immortal.

Or Civilization... I would be the barbarian that you get at the beginning of the game and usually ends up in the capital for the entirety of the game... I mean you would get to see 50000 years of civilization form! :p

Dead Island would be fun, but realistically I'd like to live in No More Heroes.

Bioshock Infinite, I'd love to live in the sky, but if it had to be from a game already released, I would like to live the Resident Evil world, and join the BSAA.

Sam and Max universe.I would be the one leaving ridiculous messages on their answering machine.

Fallout universe would be nice to live in.

The Sims.Becoming martial arts master, learning teleportation, mastering guitar, and building a human-like robot in one day?Easy.

Half-Life, or more specifically Half-Life 2.The feel of city in oppression, shootouts with metrocops,
Ravenholm, zombies.Being a Half-life geek, this is everything that i would ever want.(HEV suit replica goes without saying.)

World of Warcraft, if I really do get to just spirit-res when I die. All I can do is get stronger and accumulate more stuff. It's the American dream! Also, my extensive knowledge of the lore could probably be put to good use somehow.
Plus nobody would be out of a job. If you had a stick you could swing at something you got yourself a steady income.

I'd have to agree. Live in the WoW universe. Infinite money, get stronger from clothes you wear and you never actually die.
