Simo Häyhä. The current holder of the worlds most confirmed sniper-kills in any major war.
505... and that's only sniper-kills.
With his SMG that number increases to 705 and with unconfirmed kills his record rises above 900.
His killing-spree lasted 100 days

It was during the Winter War (1939?1940), between Finland and the Soviet Union.
His killing-spree lasted 100 days, killing soviet soldiers and counter-snipers sent out specifically to kill him, earning him the name "The White Death" among the soviets.
When he wasn't busy slaughtering soldiers, he spent his time dodging tanks and artillery-strikes, showering the area in hopes to get rid of him, one of which, tore holes in his jacket but leaving him unharmed.

His spree was finally ended March 6 1940, where he was shot in the head.
Not that it stopped him... He died peacefully of old age in 2002.

Not only was he shot in the head, but it was with an EXPLODING round.
And it was about -40 degrees out every day.
And he only had one year of military experience.

Theodore Roosevelt. I could do a Wikipedia article's worth of talking about the badass stuff he did, but i'll just tell you one of the best.

Just before giving a campaign speech, a man shot Theodore in the chest. Thankfully, the glass case and folded speech in his hands blocked the bullet. From his past experience, Theodore knew that because he wasn't bleeding from the mouth, the injury wasn't serious. So what did he do? Why, completely ignore the injury and give the full 90 minute speech before going to hospital, that's what. And the speech began with:

"Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot; but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."

BADASS.
