COLE MCGRATH! It would keep with the Infamous vs. Prototype thing from a couple years ago.
Anyway, my vote goes to the Anti-Monitor, go me for the extremely obscure reference.
Damn you ninja

I'll top your obscurity and go with the Spectre.
I found neither of those to be obscure.....thats probably bad for me isnt it?

Also, anyone who can time travel > Alex Mercer. Travel to day before he gets infected. Shoot him in the face. The end. That way, it avoids all the bullshit about who is or isnt invincible, and whether beings like Superman or Mr Manhattan etc would be susecptable to infection/absorbtion based on their alien/impervious DNA, etc etc etc etc.

Because when it comes down to it, Alex Mercer cant travel in time, and Alex Mercer was born and lived most of his life as a shitty normal powerless person. So time travel > blacklight.

:p

Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn from The Wheel of Time series.

Or for that matter, any Aes Sedai capable of casting Balefire. For those who don't know, it is basically a spell that removes the target from reality with such potency that it also erases them backwards in time. The stronger the casting of it, the further back in time their actions are erased.

This spell is so powerful that it threatens the very fabric of reality, and both sides during the ultimate war between good and evil unilaterally agreed to stop using it.

Now that I think about it, a fight between Mercer and Dr. Manhattan would be incredibly awesome to see.
It would be over in seconds, Manhattan would asplode him.

Mmmm C'l'mari.
You can't just make him up, I googled him for twenty minutes and it didn't come up with anything.

Also, he sounds REALLY lame, like Alucard lame.

If he can catch Mercer that is. Dr. M is really slow when he isn't teleporting across the island.

Batman could. Why? Because he's Batman.

He'd do what Batman does best, which is to pull a deus ex machina out of his arse and inject it into Mercer.

Yes, we all rock, lol. Id have to say in response that you made the (possibly erroneous) assumption that Alex would cooperate with the ka'kari... even assuming that he could not take it simply by the method of transforming as he does in the game... and that it does not accept him as its own... that he could not absorb someone in that universe with the knowledge of how to 'break' the ka'kari... any Vurdmeister of a sufficient shu'ra (Dorian? Prophetic Alex is possibly scarier than invisible Alex even without the insanity) should have the knowledge.... and given that the vir is of an organic origin with sufficient practice or indeed simply by consuming some, Alex would himself be able to replicate the vir to an extent that he would have the power and knowledge of a Vurdmeister, i.e. enough to subjugate the Ka'kari to his will.

Anti-Uroboros Virus syringes, if you can manage to get close enough. But hey, that's why we have this.

The god of the underworld tried to "consume" him by sucking out Kratos' very soul....

It didn't end well for Hades

Well, this is less soul sucking and more eating and copying appearance and memories...but you have a point.

It would still be cool to watch...from a TV 5 continents away in a (hopefully) indestructible bunker, though

One of the fundamental laws of physics is that Goku always wins, no matter who is fighting who.

So, Goku.

EDIT: Ohshit, gotta be honest, I didn't read the OP o_O you have that law covered. Sorry, dude.
um goku vs radditz... um who won that fight? Oh right it was piccolo who killed them BOTH.

Oh right and cell... who killed him as well.
