The thing that got me is, now that the game is on another system, it suddenly, automatically sucks. He basically says that. Try to follow that logic.

Yeah, BUt like i said, if he's a fan surely he'd want the company to do well and keep making games, not try to boycott it when it tired to reach more customers to breed more fans (and in the process make more money).

I learned this news after I sold my 360. I will only regret if it's the second coming of Jesus.

Despite having an Xbox 360, I still don't care that it's getting FF13. What I do care about is that Versus 13 is still exclusive to the PS3. Xbox 360 owners really got bamboozled on that deal.

It doesn't bother me. I have PS3 and it's kind of one of those things that just gets a "meh" from me. What bothers me is my five XBox 360 fanboy friends calling me and thinking they're rubbing my nose in. They're my friends, love 'em to pieces but I never made so many excuses to get off the phone.

FF's used to hgave 100's of hours of gameplay, now it's multiplatform that'll be shortend right down to probably less than 20.

You have got to be kidding me. This is Sqaure, they're not going to do something like that just because its on the 360. You're also conveniently forgetting that its coming out for PS3 first and ONLY PS3 initially in Japan, can you really see it being less than 20 hours long then?

Personally I was very happy about the news that the 360 was getting this as it means:

1. Square get more money and therefore have more money to spend on the next game .
2. It's not promoting one console over the other as "exclusives" do.
3. I can play FFXIII as I have been a fan for years and since my ps2 commited sucide a good few years back I haven't played any of them since then.

Id just like to say thank you to everyone. The fact that everyone seems to take a sensible perspective and not froth at the mouth reminds me why Im at the escapist.

Ive not really been wow'd by the exclusives on any console (ok, Ill admit it, Id kill for mario kart on my 360), I tend to play more cross console titles. This is not a big deal. Multiple platforms is good for gaming. Im sure even the fanboys can see it will be a sad day when the only console available is the PS360 or whatever.

Are you aware that consoles are getting more powerful, not less powerful? You wont be seeing a FF game with less than about 60 hours play. There have been plenty of cross platform titles that havent been shortened because of power. Worst case scenario, there will be more discs.
