Who could play old man Batman?

Or if you want a serious answer, then I would say Christopher Lee. The accent might be little off, but, damn, he's a great actor who can always play a bad-ass.

That would be interesting, seeing as he was pretty much a WW2 Batman.

OT: I reckon there are two ways you can take old Batman. Firstly, tough as iron, in which case, Clint Eastwood, or Jeff Bridges (can't believe I'm the first to suggest Jeff Bridges).

Or you do him a worn down wreck. Which, following off the idea DKR played with (fucked up knees and whatnot) isn't unreasonable, and could be a good spin, you go with... uh...

Well, I can't think of any names for actors portraying rundown old men. But it's an idea.

Clint Eastwood would make a great 'geriatric' Batman, but I feel Josh Brolin [//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Brolin] would make a good Batman just past his prime.

Josh Brolin is exactly who I came into this thread. He'd be perfect for playing an older/ageing Bruce Wayne. I hope to god they cast an older dude in the next film.

Clint Eastwood would have been great, but I honestly think he'd be too old now, especially if they're basing it on DKR (Bruce Wayne is only 55 in that, Eastwood is 83 now).

Josh Brolin would be great, he looks old enough without looking too old, and the guy could clearly act.

I've been wanting a Batman Beyond movie forever, and every time I think about it, Clint Eastwood always seems like the perfect choice for old Bruce Wayne.

Seriously, he wouldn't even have to change any of his mannerisms for the role, he would basically just play himself and be perfect.

God damn it, they better make a Batman Beyond movie before Clint Eastwood dies, or I'm going to be pissed.

For an old broken down aging Batman? While Eastwood would be the best, he is probably just a hair too old at this point sadly. He's getting a bit to frail for the role. and honestly the story should be one of Batman past his prime, not Batman as dementia sets in

I think Bruce Willis would be a good option if you were looking to do a Batman Beyond or Dark Knight Returns Batman.

Or perhaps even better. You want an old aging Batman. Someone past his prime. Yet a Batman we know and accept... Imagine what Michael Keaton could do in the role these days?

This was my first thought too. he'd be about the right age now and last I saw him he seemed in decent enough shape to play an older Batman(sadly, we can't say the same for Val). He was an excellent Batman and I'd love to see him reprise the role.

Keaton did an admirable job in the June of 1989, but I've never thought of him as a defining Batman. West, Conroy, Bale. Them are the Batmen of historical note. I don't want to defame Micheal Keaton, but if we need a skinny old man to be The Batman, we may as well cast the geriatric favorite from the poll so far.

I doubt that they'll do full Miller's DK Returns on the MoS2 movie. However, IF I saw old Batman, I'd like to see them make Kevin Conroy old and beefy for the role.

There's always Liam Neeson, but we already had him as Ra's Al-Ghul.

I suppose if Peter Weller bulked up, we could literally re-enact the animated movie. I do like the idea of Rutger Hauer as well, but we also already got him in the movies, alas.

Problem is, there aren't that many beefy older actors who aren't also the sort of actors found in the Expendables (which, while fun, doesn't elicit the most serious of performances).

If we didn't mind our Bruce as a blonde, I could see Dolph Lundgren, esp if he bleached his hair white for the role. The man can act reasonably well, when asked to (he just isn't very often).
