How about... We all think that someone is killing people... when it turns out that they were already dead.

And they were also killing each other. To feed.

Ok, you are the murderer and the people you murdered werent actual people but figments of a split personality disorder.

Turns out at the end that all this is going through the mind of a murder in the electric chair getting the juice.
Hey thats a pretty good idea.
Thanks. Fancy co-writing it?

I had the idea after watching a Silent hill ending on Youtube, but electroshock treatment has been done before.

We could do that in book/film/TV show format.

Kira, AKA Light Yagami. Because the murder method is so unconventional he could spend the afternoon at a coffee shop, browsing the internet and murdering the scum of the Earth.

If I had been put in his position I would undertake a similar quest but refrain from doing anything brash and let my actions speak for themselves.

Nah, I'm far too picky to write, I get about 3 pages done and then put too much time into making it realistic, and make sure there are no plot holes. I'll edit it when your done lol.
Curses! Im crap with beginnings...I tend to have too start about...10 pages in, Work forwards, Then Write the beginning last.

Either a possessing ghost or a mind-controlling psychic forcing the victims to kill each other in trances. You kill someone, then you are the next victim.

Were it me, I'd probably go about killing hate-spewing bigots. Namely, Westboros, maybe just beat the shit out of Rush Limbaugh, etc etc.
Hell, I'd join you.

But as for the OP....

How's this?:

A dry erase marker that takes over your left arm and makes you draw stuff. The stuff you draw comes to life and kills you. The marker gets your soul.

.....Why do I have the feeling, that someone already made a movie like that?

The pistol itself wants you to take the fall for mishandling it for so many years. Use only in 'Self-Defense' to you is being a 'foul-weather friend' to it.

The murderer would be the victim, who discovered his wife was sleeping with another man, in an attempt to take his rival with him. This would work best if the death penalty was a possibility.

He could also have arranged for other victims to die after his death. Spiking insulin with sugar syrup, causing a house to go on fire, a healthy supply of strychnine (Much classier than cyanide, which is so overdone.), etc. And then there's always the possibility that the victim never died. Long lost twins, clones, lookalikes, sky's the limit.

Wow, I'm twisted. I'm going to bed.

See Spongebob's magic pencil and that one episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dedicated to Jack Kirby.
