Who did you always catch in Pokemon?

It used to be a Pidgey, but this time in SoulSilver, it was a Hoothoot. Other than that, I hunt down all the legendarie and usually have at least one strong water-type in my team. I'm quite partial to a Quagsire, purely for it's water/ground type.
I always caught a Metapod, and grinded relentlessly in that small area of grass right outside Pewter City until I got a Butterfree. I had Yellow. >_>
As for nowadays, it's usually Geodude or Mankey, since I always pick Fire-type.

That fat, useless pidgen thing I believe. It should be noted I have only played two of the games however and neither for very long. I think I got past the first gym thingie on both of them before I just gave up entirely.
Well I always take the water starter pokemon because I used to play using only one pokemon but I have made three pokemon teams in the 4 generation and the all had a dusknoir in them I'm even training a fourth because the other three were trained from above level fifty and this one has started from level one also a great move set for dusknoir is fire,thunder,ice and shadow punch.
Pidgey because of Pidgeot. I always have Pidgeot, and is always my highest level Pokemon after my electric one. (Somehow I always ended up with a really high leveled electric Pokemon, no matter which game.)
Snorlax, because that fat mofo would pull a Gandalf and block my way, he left me no option. I also thought marawoks were badass so I found myself getting one each time ^_^.
