David in The Last of Us. Stalking a little girl with a machete? Looking to kill and eat her? Fuck that noise. You die slowly.
-Ooh i forgot about that! Personally, i think that part of that game turned it from pretty-alright to holy-fuck-that-was-some-unexpected-emotion!
OT: Rom the vacuous spider. Fuck. That. Shit. But victory felt like post-witheld-orgasm. I could have really done with a smoke afterwards.
Any eagle or honey badger in Far Cry 4. Little annoyances always, but it turned me from peaceful animal lover to murderous monster of small wildlife. Explosions help.
Any headshot in Sniper Elite 3. Yes, i'm a terrible person.
Any rocket canister (or destructable sat dish) attached to an enemy with a tether cable in JC3. Never ceases to put a smile on my face. See above.
Games do satisfy a potentially worrying blood-lust within, saving possibly many real world lives.
Edit: The end of Tales from the Borderlands seemed very (no spoilers) but entirely necessary, it brought cringe but continued nonetheless because it felt needed to be done. Very effective in creating strong ambivalence. Nothing is easy, but indeed required.
Also that specific guy in the Walking Dead season 2, no spoilers...but the crap he put everyone through, the suffering he needlessly caused and relished in...he really had to go. Every second he remained alive was another chance for him to ruin another life. It was a chance i couldn't take.
