The record has been skipping for a long time.

I personally would like an age analysis on those individuals that;

Played the game,
Disliked the experience,
Flooded forums with their opinion.

It would be interesting.

I didn't purchase Mass Effect 3, but I will when the All DLC version hits. Mass Effect 2 was touted as a sin against humanity, but I still enjoyed it when it hit PlayStation 3.

I had played Mass Effect in the past, but never thought it to be the shining beacon of hope for gamers. It was released at the correct time, when there was a dearth of RPGs on the XBox 360.

The ending doesn't fuss me - a lot of the time the journey is a lot more important than the goal, and I will be sorely disappointed if BioWare entertains this ending outrage.

Although paid DLC alternative probably sounds tasty to shareholders

I didn't buy Mass Effect 3 but I watched a friend play it for a few minutes. I was not impressed especially considering the money that was sunk into it. They really didn't get that much for it. I haven't purchased an EA title in about 7 years and I don't plan on changing that tune anytime within this lifetime.

I didn't, because I got the second one after being told it was a masterpiece by a ton of people on the internet, and I didn't enjoy it one bit.

The only tsumami of bile I have heard of is in reference to the ending. I haven't heard a lot of bad for the rest of the game.

As for me, I dind't buy it at realease in large part because I just bought a condo and I have no money, but what sealed it was having to pay for day 1 DLC. I don't understand why they didn't go the route of Arkham city. The DLC code is included in the regular game (not the collectors edition), which helps them with the issue of used games. I found having to pay $10 extra right when it came out very insulting.

I plan to now wait until the price goes down. Maybe even until it bundles together a bunch of the DLC that is bound to come out.

Bought it, played it, enjoyed the dickens outta it.

Already on a second playthrough and am seriously considering going back to ME1 and doing a continuous run-through of all three.

According to the internet, however, this makes me a fanboy or stupid or something, so feel free to disregard anything I say. :p

I had the N7 Edition preordered for Xbox but had a really bad feeling about it and cancelled about two weeks before it came out. With all the crap thats come out afterwards, pretty glad I did now tbh - I'll still pick it up when it comes down in price with eyes open.

I watched the Spoiler Warning play of ME 1 and 2, so I'm incapable of deriving enjoyment from the series- or taking it seriously, after ME 2. So, skipping the series, but hoping to see ME 3 on Spoiler Warning.

That and I find cover-based monotony shooting to be earthquakingly, skullcrushingly dull.

i bought it day one full price then purchased the dlc as well. i am a massive mass effect fan and have loved every minute of it and the release of part 3 was the first time ive been truly excited for a game release for many years. i highly enjoyed the new game but will admit that me2 is a better more rounded experience but dont take away from the emotional trumph that me3 is.
its not the best shooter or rpg mechanically however after 3 games the attachment to these characthers and there story outweighs any of that.
lastly in my opinion i very much enjoyed the ending and all this negativity surrounding it has been blown massively out of proportion...but thats just my opinion , and at the end of the day many great games have poor endings. (final fantasy 7 anyone).

I didn't buy it, but it's solely because I'm not in a position to afford it atm. When I can, I will, and with all this ending controversy, I'm having to be extra careful about what I click on with the words "Mass Effect" on it.

I didn't buy it because

A) I know that I'm going to be a little pissed with some of the stuff, so I'm waiting for the price to go down

B) I want to finish a new run through on ME 1 and 2 before I get the third. A lot of the has to do with the fact that I don't have my original ME 1 and 2 save files, and also because I need to play Man Shep since I can't romance Tali as FemShep.

Having never played ME1 or 2, it's not big loss for me.

Sure, I'd like to play them all eventually, but for the moment it's not a priority - I'm only 120 hours into Skyrim and there are plenty more hills to climb and hidden caves to uncover.

I played the demo but I didn't buy it and I probably won't until next year or later when I can get it used for dirt cheap if at all. I loved the first, liked the second and want to know how it ends (I've avoided spoilers thus far some how) but between the 360 glitch and, the fact that I can't use my ME1 Shepard on (in a physical sense I mean) I'm not even going to consider the thing until it gets fixed.

I didn't.

Pretty much the EA/BioWare tag team has been fronting a business strategy that I don't agree with. I mean, the launch of ME3 was so monetized it was embarrassing. I decided to hold off until: a.) an overwhelming deluge of positive feedback on the game convinced me it was worth it, or b.) they released a complete version with all the DLC and extras tacked on (note they have not done this with ME 1 or 2).

Now that the ending controversy has convinced me BioWare didn't really try with the ending? Not going to buy it.

Captcha? "moot point". Really? I think they do this on purpose.

I haven't bought it and after hearing about the crappy ending I'm afraid to finish the fight so to speak.
I have Mass Effect 1 on Steam from a $10 deal a year or two ago.
I just picked up Mass Effect 2 a few weeks ago from Amazon Download for $15.
I will get around playing them one day. I watch too much TV and play MMOs too so I may get to it one day.

I didn't but only because I am waitig for a triliogy pakage to come out since I never bought the first two games. I know that will take a while but I can wait that long.
