Skrim this, Skyrim that. That's all that's talked about on these forums for the past month. I did a quick check last night, for 32 pages of threads only until the 33rd page was there not one thread about Skyrim. Granted, I've only ever played Obilivion, so the other 3 Elder Scrolls games may be better, but I wasn't impressed and didn't see what others did in this franchise.
There's also this random obsession about Dragons that every seemed to flip their shit on. I've never seen 'It's got Dragons!' as a marketing ploy before, but apperently it's working. It's like jet packs in Halo Reach, 4 people I knew and a bunch on these forums suddenly turned into quivering drooling fanboys when they heard it had jetpacks... Anyways, so it has Dragons, yeah they're awesome, but do they make a game better? No..
Everything about this game I've heard is 95% hype. hype, hype, hype. To be honest, when everyone and they're grandmother starts pitching this game to me, I get a little sick of hearing about it. So much so, that any interest in the game I had before is lost.
I'm not getting Skyrim. It's probably a pretty good game, but the hype is too much. There is no possible way this game is worth all this commotion.
