Come north. I find that usually the number of intelligent, sensible people increases as you drive further north. Not saying that we don't have our share of retards, but that our retards have less impact up here.

EDIT: Lou Dobbs from CNN is also an idiot. When Obama apologized for the previous US stance of being slightly arrogant and derivative of the EU diplomatically, Dobbs went on a rant about the US supporting the EU economically with our troops there, as if that makes up for telling other European nations to stuff it when they offered political advice about global problems.

The difference is that the Daily Show and the Colbert Report have never, to the best of my recollection, denigrated the efforts of friendly military forces. If they were just saying "Canada's military needs a break lol" then everybody would write it off as more unfunny nonsense from the Fox network. This segment completely ignored the fantastic and incredibly difficult work that the Canadian military is doing in Afghanistan, instead characterizing Canada as a country that hides behind the United States like a bunch of cowards. That is pretty clearly offensive; if the Daily Show or the Colbert Report implied that any military force was a bunch of cowards you can bet people would be pissed off about that, too.
