For me, just friends. I've got a few friends who've watched a lot more anime than me. That, plus occasionally I'll google/wikipedia an anime I hear of that interests me, usually mentioned by an Escapist.

No one really. ANN is about the only truly dedicated site that does Anime reviews and last I checked there were no videos.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have an Anime a week review but it would be hard to keep on top of it during season releases as the flood gates just fly open.

I generally have a good eye for what will or won't be good. Even without that though I can always use the combination of Crunchyroll/netflix/illegal streaming so I don't actually have to purchase anything to get an idea of its quality.

Also I have a crunchyroll guest membership if anyone is interested. PM me

/a/, you can always see what's the best shows currently airing and if they still talk about an older one that's usually a sign it's good.

Friends, and Google.

If I see/hear/am told about something I'm interested in, I'll Google reviews of it, and ask my mates. Generally this has worked pretty well, as by visiting as many reviews as possible you can get a very good picture of what the actual pros/cons are, and it helps to see through a lot of bias.

I pretty much just use UK-anime.net or NEO magazine (British Anime magazine).

It's not actually filled with critics, but anime-planet.com is sort of like imdb for anime. They generally have synopses and ratings for all series that have been out for at least a season. They also have recommendations for each show (if you like x, you might like y). The reviews and recommendations aren't perfect, and you can tell that people tend to fan[boy|girl] pretty hard sometimes, but I haven't found a better way of browsing anime (by year, rating, genre, etc...). What's also neat about it is that you can keep track of everything you've watched and want to watch (and it totals up the time for you).

Brickroad, of scibbe.com, and his old anime anonymous site... good stuff for the newbie and masochist in all of us...
