Just putting it out there (readying flame proof armor, and building anti fanboy/girl turret) But everyone who just said and will say Sephiroth is the most evil villain, You are all dipshits. Ramirez from "skies of arcadia." He attempts to murder the entire world over the death of one person. Ways he is better than Sephiroth
1: Sephiroth used only one meteor, Ramirez used thousands.
2: It took only cloud to beat Seph's last form, it took all four protagonists for Ramirez's
3: Most powerful form of Sephiroth took nine people to beat, Ramirez's most powerful form (zelos) took upwards of a dozen people in a fricken airship armed to the teeth.

I classify villains in video games into different types of evil, defined by the qualities that they use in their evil natures.

Nihilus in Mass Effect would be classified as "Misguidedly Evil" by me, and the true villain in Bioshock could be seen as "Deviously Evil". Villains like Darth Malak and Ganondorf would be called "Megalomaniacally Evil", most JRPG villains and Adolf Hitler would be "Simply Evil", etc.

There is one type that I prize above all others. I call this type "Deliciously Evil." A deliciously evil character is evil in every sense of the word- heartless, callous, malevolent, devious, darkly charismatic, and ambitious. Yet his evil personality is different from the other villains in that it made of pure awesome. I find myself, the PC hero who stands against everything about this man, actually rooting him on as he commits atrocity after atrocity. And when I defeat him at last, I feel that the world is a lesser place for it, for some strange reason.

So far, only one character has ever achieved this title: Jon Irenicus from Baldur's Gate II. The man is as evil as they come, yet he is so awesome about it that I secretly applaud every time he unleashes his magical avalanches on his unsuspecting victims. And his air of calm control never changes, even as he massacres hordes of attackers.

Despite being evil, Jon Irenicus is one of my favorite video game characters of all time.

Man, I never wanted to kill anything more in my life.
Agreed, she won't even let you die. There is something about your corpse being turned into a cyborg zombie that just bothers me.

Wow... alot of these guys are about as evil as capcom in the latest yahtzee video >_>

Haven't been into much more than life-draining PC games for a while since I haven't bought a 360 yet, so i'll go with Baal in Diablo 2, despite the fact he's criminally easy and he SHOULD have been inferior to Diablo...

I mean, there's what he does to the derranged guy.. i forget his name.. tricks him into freeing him, has him running round all sorts of hellholes, then tricks him into handing over the soulstone before killing him and torching the place.. then theres the cutscene where he obliterates a messenger (liek, ow) and all the screwed up things he throws infront of you before you finally get to kill him (suicide boars, whatever those minions of destruction are supposed to be, er... imps? >_>), and when you do, you find out he's corrupted the 'worldstone' which basically has to be destroyed and god knows what that'll cause... we might find out if they ever release Diablo 3. Goddam it...

Actually, he's probably not that evil either... he doesn't break much for the so called Lord of Destruction.

edit:

I was going to answer, but then I noticed you replaced the word you with the letter u. This means you are a Cretin.
Annnnd that makes you a snob. It's not like the whole title is written in l33tsp34k is it? How many people did it take to yank your head out of your ass this morning?

Uncle Paulie from the Darkness. No one had more of a pure, visceral "I hate you so MUCH." impact on me as him. The shooting scene in the middle of the game really got to me.

And Fontaine.

This also. I have never felt more hatred for any character in gaming(or in any media, for that matter.) then after that scene at the orphanage.

Yeah, he is about the only video game villan I was dying the whole game to waste; that smug, evil, prick. No one else has raised my ire that much. Except maybe Lucien in Fable 2 for
killing my dog, wife and child!

Mind you the Gravemind in Halo 3 made me want to kill it so bad by interupting me every five seconds during the Cortana mission for some boring monologue. Then Bungie denied me vengence. I'll never forgive them for that.

I would say me........... In Civlization, I make a totalatarian governement that thrives on pain and takes over Africa, and North America with resting my base in Europe I always destroy the towns in Africa for fun, and while other countries are in war I seize their colonial towns etc...I am a douche ahahah

Also more reasons I'm Evil
1. I built Hollywood
2. I built United Nations
3. I genocided the barbarians of North America....so im like USA now!
4. I invented Broadway, in Roundhouse(which is in northern England) about 5 clicks away from Chucknorrisvile.

Mankor Camoran. Oblivion's cup runneth over with this guy holding it.

What i mean is he wants to destroy the world just to remake it in his image. What a dick.
