I'm not talking about what you think was the best E3 conference, I'm talking about which of the big 5 (Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Ubisoft and EA) do you reckon do the absolute best E3 conferences. So, who do you think does E3 conferences best?

Personally, I've gotta go with Nintendo. When they're not announcing a brand new console, they very rarely bore you with long speeches about games and demoes for every single damn game. And they really do know how to open them, the Zelda orchestra in their 2011 one was amazing. Sony and Microsoft normally take ages talking about features like Netflix, Facebook and such, but Nintendo announces them quickly and assumes that you really don't care that much, but want some games.

They are absolute dross, unless you are sorely missing a hefty dose of spoon fed corporate PR bullshit then why would you even go near those.
That shit is put together to bedazzle investors and share holders, not for anyone interested in the hobby of gaming.

Nintendo is best. When Miyamoto showed up to announced Twilight Princess whist wearing some of Link's gear... that was awesome.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker's
I haven't seen much stuff from E3, but this one is my favorite. Just simply talking about the game, and making fun of E3.

Nintendo. The 2010 presentation is still the stuff of legends.

They all pretty much suck now. Maybe about 5 years ago it was worth picking one that was the best.

This. If I had to pick who does the presentations that are the least crappy, I would have to go with Nintendo, but they pretty much just do the bare minimum of what needs to be done, and they've had their fair share of shitty press conferences in the past few years (like their conference where their big announcement was Wii Music).

What Nintendo should have been doing with the WiiU is show pretty much every major game that's in development for it, even if they won't get released soon (this isn't just with their E3 conference, but in general). Right now, we know what's going to be released in the six months after the WiiU launches, but no idea what games are going to be on it after that. This makes it hard to be confident that the WiiU will be any better than the Wii was in terms of software.

It pretty much depends on the year, honestly. You could have a great press conference one year, and then a terrible press conference in another year. I think a more interesting topic would be, "Who has given the worst E3?"

Overall? Nintendo. They tend to have the higher highs (Miyamoto on stage with the Master Sword), but also the lower lows (Wii Music). But they hit the highs far more often. The advantage to being a developer, publisher AND console maker means that they'll always have something exciting.

That being said, lately Nintendo has been moving away from industry-wide shows like E3 and TGS, and seems to be focusing a lot more on their own monthly online video stream, Nintendo Direct. And it's showing. Just compare the WiiU presentation earlier this month to their E3 presentation. But then again, with people constantly saying "E3 is going down the shitter", maybe they're making the right move...

I would have to say Nintendo. Microsoft seems unwilling to talk about games at all and only announce new features (often coupled with increased Xbox live gold subscription fee). Now this might be because out of the 3 consoles I only own Nintendo and Microsoft consoles so I don't have any interest in knowing what I could have been playing so Sony's out of the running by default. EA usually announce a lot of sport titles and shooters that I don't care about. I haven't watched Ubisoft's so I can't really say.
