Who DOESN'T deserve the fame they have?

I think the bigger question is who DOES deserve the fame they have. It'd probably be a much shorter list, like maybe 5 people.

5 people? Really? I can think of a lot more people then that off the top of my head who do deserve their fame.

That list better involve the megadeth lineup from their first to 4th album.

On musical artists alone, that list would consist of hundreds of individuals who are talented enough to deserve the fame they so rightfully earned. Contrary to the topic of the conversation, particularly with regards to certain musical artists, I'd say that some deserve to be MORE famous than they actually are. An example would, in fact, be the early Megadeth lineup - some of the best thrash metal around, and yet their early works remain criminally underrated.

I would add a poll but it will be a diverse amount of people so I haven't.
The people that springs to mind here are Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and the others from Disney.

Your claim about Megan Fox holds no water, sorry. She's been in quite a few movies, and none of them have been very successful, with the exception of Transformers. Say what you will about them, but that has a lot more to do with giant fighting robots than her.

I disagree on account of all the gratuitously "sexy" scenes of her, particularly in the second Bayformers.

If people just saw it for the eye candy, then why was the first one so successful, when she was completely unknown? And why are her others movies not successful at all? Even Jennifer's Body, with a lesbian kiss, didn't fly.

Sure, the only reason people know Megan Fox these days is because of Transformers, but considering her main purpose in both movies is T&A, the claim stands. Also, please enlighten me as to how gratuitous explosions is not eye candy.

Much better question, who do you think deserves to be more famous than they are? If they are at all.

Back in 2003 I would've said Edward Norton. But then he acted in mainstream films like The Italian Job, did that overhyped character in Kingdom of Heaven and then officially sold out with 'The Incredible Hulk'.

I think the reason he did become a sellout was because he didn't receive much fame and respect as he should've for films such as Fight Club and American History X.

I respect disliking Lady Gaga, god knows her style is pretty much love it or hate it. However, those saying she doesn't deserve her fame should direct their dislike at other pop singers who are nothing more than pretty faces. Lady Gaga writes her own music and she's an excellent singer/pianist. She presents a persona that she has acknowledged as being fake. Lady Gaga is a character that is played by a real person. People need to realize that she never stops performing, and when she does actually sing, she sings! She has the best live act of almost any artist. It's completely over the top and ridiculous, and it's exactly what people need to escape from their mundane regular lives.

Yes but all of that is completely shot to pieces by the simple fact that her music sounds HORRID!

For instance, The Scissor Sisters performed in the same flambouyant way years before, but the difference being their music is awesome.

It's not so much that I ahte them, I just hate that they have so much praise and fame for average music.

I never said you hated them and I don't hate them either, I just agree with you they get to much praise for nothing special. Except for God & Jesus, I don't hate them but I am sick of hearing and seeing them in everything everyday.
