27 year old man and I teared up. Takes a lot to get me to full on cry. My recent kidney stones couldn't even manage that and that was probably the worst pain I've ever been in. What's funny, is that I got a lot more teary eyed the second time I saw it than the first. How's that work? I knew what was gonna happen!

I'll be honest, I came close. The end was pretty sad.
But, all in all, Toy Story 3 was really good. If you liked the first two, you'd like this one.

I didn't cry so much at the last scene as I did during the

incinerator scene, where they all accept their fate.

Yes, I am an 18 year old guy and I cried with my girlfriend at the end of TS3.
The way I see it, I grew up with Andy and the Toy Story trilogy.
Andy's goin' to college, so am I.
Who else is in the same boat as me?
Well it's been 15 years since I saw the original so any emotional sentiment I may have had is obviously gone by now.

Didn't come close to crying.
I personally didn't find the ending emotional at all.

I died inside during the whole thing, and then at the end when everything was happy but bittersweet, I lost it. I cried in front of my two best friends (who are used to me being the monotone, emotionless British guy).

I kept hearing it's sad and I was all like "I am going to be a manly man... A MANLY MAND DAMN IT!"

[small]all manly men watch toy story.[/small]

But I blubered at the end. I'm such a sissy. Still the movie was very good. Lives up to the first two. I'm glad I watched it.

I cried, or at least got as close as I could ever get to crying in a movie theatre. It was a huge part of my childhood memories and it broke my heart.

both nostalgia and the ending got me close, I actually fought off tears at the end.

i mean, it's not like i was full out balling and weaping. usually just a single tear or something. still very demasculinizing for a 20 year old male, considering these are fucking cartoons >.>

i still think pixar needs to give up this kids movie charade. their movies contain way too many political and adult messages, and other shit that 99% of 10 year olds can not begin to comprehend.
I wouldn't really call it a charade. There movies are definitely good for children to watch. They just aim to please the whole family. And for that, I commend them.
Parents often try to please their children, and take them to movies. And if I had to take my kids to a movie, I'd want it to be one that i could enjoy watching as well. So many kids movies made nowadays lack the depth to make it enjoyable to anyone older than a small child. But with Pixar, the child can be happy as well as the adults. It's a great balance.

Also, when you think about it from a business standpoint, selling things to children is a great way to make money. Parents will spend money on their kids for more things than themselves (usually). So by gearing their movies to children's enjoyment, Pixar gains a better profit because those children can't go to the movies without adult supervision. Thus higher ticket sales. But Pixar also recognizes that if their movies are enjoyable to adults as well, they can make an even greater profit in two ways. First, the parents are more likely to actually go see the movie with their children because they know that it won't be a painfully obnoxious experience. And secondly, by making the movie decent for adults to watch on their own, it increases the range of people buying tickets purely because they want to see the movie themselves (as can be seen by all the 20ish year olds on this post taking about watching the movie)

My wish is that more companies would pick up on what Pixar is doing, and make higher caliber movies for all ages. Where can that go wrong?

I have to admit, I almost did at the end. Almost. The other other movie that has made me feel like that was The Lion King, when Mufasa died.

Other than that, it was a damn good movie.

I didn't cry at the end I was close but through sheer force of manliness I stoped the tears from escapeing my ducts.

Toy Story 3 is number 6 on IMDB's Top 250????!!!!???!!! I haven't seen it, but can that be justified? Is it really THAT good?
Yes. It is that good. But again, the hype will probably kill it...

I cried at the end and it is the only movie to make me cry... and I even saw Up. It was the nostalgia that did it...

Well, I laughed/cried at my girlfriend for crying at it. Does that count?
I say, no. That's just you being an insensitive prick, not because you were emotionally touched by the movie itself in any way.

OT: I haven't seen it yet, but from what i hear i probably will (and i will probably weep too).
