Who else should be a guest character in the new Mortal Kombat?

As you all should know, Kratos is appearing in the next Mortal Kombat game which makes sense. He has a large array of moves, he's a well known character, and his games are full of over-the-top blood and gore. I was talking to my friend about when I got to thinking, what other characters would fit nicely in the Mortal Kombat play style?

Only real requirements is they have to be from a game with over-the-top blood and gore, be recognizable, and be able to keep up with the characters (new MK going to be fast-paced). So far the only one that I could come up with was Alex Mercer, which would be freaking awesome to play as in a fighting game

I'd like to see some more female characters in the game, and maybe another 'tank'.

So, IDK, that one steroid popping dude from Gears of War could work out.

Same goes for the MC in MadWorld.

An unusual claim on your part, i feel i must reply to it. BULLSHIT!!! That was one of Dante's worst in-game appearances, he seemed to be based more on his anime persona than any game persona. Honestly that was an unneeded nail in his coffin considering it was likely his last appearance in a Capcom game.



Alright, on topic now, one suggestion i'd make is that girl from X-Blades. Not because i think it would be fun to play as her, but because i think it would be fun to beat the shit out of her. But as for a serious recommendation instead of just suggesting someone that i badly want to die, i'd actually have to go for the main character from Heavenly Sword (No, i can't remember her name either) except that might not work because Heavenly Sword was a PS3 exclusive.

...Commander Shepard WAS a 360 exclusive character, we could go with that. His basic style is based on CQC, special attacks are tech attacks and guns, fatalities are Biotic attacks. Might work.
Another possible choice is...
...no, Shepard's the only one i can think of. Frank West wouldn't fit unless they added a wall jumping mechanic, and Marcus Fenix would be out of his element without his chainsaw gun and his friend who is looking for his wife who is most likely dead.

Ok yo we who cares about the thread now, you and me need to open a dialogue. How was it terrible? Am like dantes biggest fan and i thought his character was very good in mvc3. His design weapons and moves all seemed appropriate and faithful to the game, the developers took so much time into his character it was actually stunning it makes me wonder how the same company could allow the reboot.

Now on the whole anime thing. I've seen the anime and read the Manga. They are very similer to dante in the game. I would love to prove you wrong so please tell me reasons why so i don't have to type every variable oh why you might hate it right now.

OT: Hmmm the guy from Just Cause 2 wouldn't be that terrible. The grappling hook/whip-thing could do some pretty awesome stuff

Ok the X-Blades part made me laugh. Anyway Heavenly Sword could probably work, but I haven't played the game so I don't know from personal experience. Shepard definitely has the ability to make a good moves list, but he might not fit in the MK universe just because the gore levels in Mass Effect are no where near MK and he might just seem out of place

Rico Rodriguez? Y'know that's not a bad idea in theory, but Rico's hand to hand abilities are never really emphasized on, and environment doesn't play enough of a role in MK to use the most of the grappling hook. Truthfully, he'd be better in a Super Smash Bros. game. Of course that held true for the Bionic Commando who still appeared in MVC3, so maybe i'm just putting too much thought into it.

Master Chief would NOT work in a Mortal Kombat game. The only 360 exclusive character that could possibly work in MK is Marcus Fenix, and even then, that's a bit of a stretch. That's it.
