Aphex Twin is one man. He is the face on all the characters. Stop saying he is a group. Please.
I was refering to the collaboration between the artist and the video director Chris Cunningham. But you are quite right, Aphex Twin is just one dude. Although speaking grammatically, it is not incorrect to refer to Aphex Twin as they/their...

Massive Attack is grouse.

Don't forget to try Juno Ractor!
I had to use the urban dictionary to put grouse into context ha ha. It's a small useless bird in England... I quite like Juno Reactor too...

Got any with fewer acoustics? I listen to THIS type of music a good deal...

Fewer acoustics? By that do you mean music with no instrumentation?

Try these for size...

An absolute classic right there...
Exactly what i'm thinking of... I'm gonna check out the band...

We are few in number.
There are some of us.

Personally, I'm not a major fan of Aphex Twin, but Come to Daddy, and the video to it, scare the shit out of me. Seriously, that is creepy. The video for Donkey Rhubarb is pretty cool though. Window licker is quite funny too. But, to me, Aphex Twin are too experimental and not dancey enough.

I'm more a fan of the sugar coated dancey stuff from the likes of Nero, Drumsound and Bassline Smith or DJ Fresh. OR the rockier sound of Pendulum or Qemists. Not to mention my huge obsession with dubstep, especially the dirty stuff like Rusko or Caspa. And who doesn like some great french Electro / House.

Yeah, I know them. I'm sitting here lol'ing to myself because there was almost an exact replica thread about Daft Punk a week or so ago. You get points for at least being a tiny bit more obscure. I think I'm going to make a thread about Pendulum or something next.
I dunno... I think The Prodigy could use a bit more recognition :p

Not at all, excuse me while I get my mesh shirt and ecstasy.
If you can dance to Aphex Twin, even under the influence of ecstacy, I'll be mightily impressed. Then I'll challenge you to dance to... Squarepusher!

Not much of a fan, but even I know Aphex Twin is just one person.

That being said, he has some interesting, or perhaps just plain creepy and distubing stuff. I remember staring at the video for Window Licker in fear. Man, that video was creepy, especially to my 11 year old self

Aphex twin're OK. Come to Daddy's probably their best known thing, and my favourite of five or six tracks I've heard.

I came into this thread expecting some bizzare medical condition of some sort. I guess that means I don't know them.

Ha ha, yeah it's properly messed up lol. Aphex Twin are a very experimental group. It doesn't always sound pretty but you bet you're arse it has impact... Their videos used to be banned from most tv stations. Even now it can only be shown past watershed I believe...

Try these if you are still interested...

Not strictly electronica but darn good if I do say so myself...
John Murphy has made some amazing soundtracks (eg: Sunshine), I love his stuff.

I've heard of the Aphex Twins, but I personally don't like Electronica as "listening music". If I'm going to listen said genre, it better stay in the background, where it belongs!
