Who here brought, or is buying a Vita?

I'm definitely planning on getting a Vita, but it won't be any time soon. Nearly 200 quid on the base unit is way too high for me, and that doesn't take into account the cost for memory sticks. Oh, and the library is still rather weak, I think. There's definitely going to be some good stuff for it - Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Assassin's Creed and Disgaea to name a few - but I don't think it's worth getting one just yet. A lot of planned stuff seems to be ports, which don't really interest me and don't sell a system, but I'm sure there will be some great new releases for it as well.

EDIT: Forgot (somehow) about Persona 4: Golden. That is the closest the Vita has got to a system-seller for me. I WILL be getting that as soon as I get a Vita.

Y'know I really thought that there was no point in buying a Vita. I've never had good experience with handhelds, apart from the Gameboy Advance. I was severely disappointed in my PSP, and even the DS although everyone loves it, very few games for it really interested me. So I never thought I'd want the Vita. However it actually appears to have a good line up. I have trouble trusting Sony, but I am very tempted. How about you?

Not anytime soon. Only thing I want for PSV right now is Persona 4 Golden, having not played the original Persona 4. That's not enough to buy a PSV for, though I hear Ragnarok Odyssey is pretty awesome. I'm not interested in finding out right now. Once they release something that sells me the system specifically (atm, looks to be a Super Robot Wars title), and with enough other games I want, sure.

I only really want one for Persona 4, of course, but I'll probably find some other games I like.

I traded in my vita for a ds and three games.

I had my ds stolen a long time ago and I still have a bunch of GBA games, so I don't want to get a 3ds.

The battery life was just a dealbreaker for me. I spend a lot of time on the bus and waiting for the bus, so something running out after 3 hours is not really for me.

I know its a moot point now, but turning down the brightness and putting the device in airplane mode saves a ton more battery life than normal, and mine usually dies after about 5 to 7 hours of use, and that includes Netflix and YouTube watching. Might have been a faulty battery, would have RMA'd it first before trading it in.

brightness is kinda needed on the bus and the bus stop. Otherwise you couldn't see in the sun.

Not to mention that there is no way to replace the battery, so it would just get worse over time. I might pick up one when they release the second model.

Either way, the only game I really wanted was persona 4 and I can already get that for the ps2. Sure I miss out on some bonus content, but then I can share the game with my friends. I just wasn't excited with the future catalog for the vita.

Meanwhile, i'm saving up for a 3ds xl because it has a better battery than the 3ds and the bigger screen is nice. There are tons of games I want. The game catalog is also a big deal for me, and I didn't want to hang onto something that was so unused that it was dusty. I hadn't used my vita for over two months, so I figured that I might as well trade it in for something with a game catelog.

Fire emblem and fire emblem: the sacred stones, Pokemon firered, Pokemon soul silver, Phoenix wright, Dragon warrior, and mario and luigi superstar saga I was just missing. I loved playing it and ever since I switched to a DS lite, I have been using it all the time.

I bought it with birthday money. First game I got was Uncharted, ended up trading that in, than bought marvel vs. capcom. At this time of typing I am now currently looking for it..I swear I didn't lose it.

I plan to pick up Silent Hill & Assassins Creed for it. I just am waiting for games i'm willing to play, ya know?
