If my GameCube were still working, I'd be still playing it. I loved my little black lunch box (yes, it was black, not purple) and I loved pretty much every game I had my hands on. I think I finished Eternal Darkness like 5 or 6 times, also Metroid Prime wich curiously, it wasn't mine, I never bought Prime 1 and I finished it like it was mine, 2 different people lended me a copy of the game and I finished it on Hard and 100% like 3 or 4 times each.

And yes, I admit that I did enjoyed StarFox Adventures and I dare to say that I finished it 4 times. Wind Waker was simply awesome and it's graphics have aged gracefully, it still looks much better than most HD games today. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes still has some of the very best real time cutscenes I've ever seen in any game, sometimes it's like watching a Matrix movie with Snake instead of Neo.

Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door was awesome, although I've never finished it, because my sister deleted my save and I reached the last boss... I was so pissed that I simply couldn't play the game again.

I could go on and on, I think the Cube was a great system and it was unfairly overlooked by many people, just like the N64. I still haven't stumbled upon a single Nintendo system I don't like.

EDIT: Now I feel the urge to repair my Cube... I always wanted to play the TimeSplitters games and I want to replay many of my good ol' Cube games so bad...

I loved Harvest Moon and Double Dash.

My GC still sits on my bottom shelf, nestled in between all my Games and DVDs

Gamecube is fantastic. It introduced classics like Metroid Prime, Resi4 and brought seminal Dreamcast classic Skies Of Arcadia among so much more.

I saved up all my paper round money to buy a Gamecube and its fair to say that I loved it. It did have some amazing exclusive titles but that's really all it had, a handful of amazing titles more than likely featuring one of Nintendos franchised characters. But it had no 3rd party support which severly limited the amount of good games available.
So I did what any sensible kid would do and saved up my pennys again and bought a PS2 a console that everybody owned and had great fun with it. I still played my Gamecube when an epic game came out but mainly stuck to the PS2.

I love the GameCube. I still play it quite often. Tales of Symphonia is my favorite game ever and I've gotten so much out of SSBM and Kirby's Air Ride.

I thoroughly loved the Gamecube. Then again, I may be a bit biased because it was my first console system. But come on, it had great games. Wind Waker, Melee, Tales of Symphonia (yes I realize there was a JP PS2 port but my box still says 'only on gamecube', darn it!) Zoids: Battle Legends (but then again, I'm a Zoids nut) Baten Kaitos and Baten Kaitos: Origins.

I think the main problem with the GC though (and to an extent Nintendo in general) is that they've never had stellar 3rd party support. There's been gems amid the sea of mediocrity but Nintendo's systems mostly stand on Nintendo's games. And if you don't like Nintendo's games, you tend not to like their systems.

After my PS2 broke in 2004 the Gamecube was the only thing I played until the current gen stuff came out a few years after. Because of the relatively low price all of my friends had one too which resulted in many hours spent playing the likes of:
Smash Bros Melee
F-Zero GX
Metroid Prime
Double Dash
Kirby's Air Ride
Time Splitters 2
Wario Ware
Sonic Mega Collection
Sonic Gems Collection
Wind Waker

Animal Crossing was my life for a while. So yeah, I thought the Gamecube was pretty sweet while I was in middle school.

I thought people generally liked the Gamecube. Weird. I like it and I still do. There's several great games on the system worth playing as far as I'm concerned and any system that gives us Eternal Darkness CAN'T be bad.

I didn't hate the Gamecube per se. In fact, I never owned a PS2 or an Xbox during that particular console generation. The only thing I didn't like about it was that Melee was the only game worth owning with maybe Wind Waker or Paper Mario 2 to back it up.

The Gamecube, for all it's bizarritude and nonexistent internet support, has some of the best couch multiplayer games of all time. It's a good system.
Internet support it did have. It was only for like, one game (Phantasy Star Online?), and it was one of those retarded attachments you plug into the bottom of the system, I think.

And Custom Robo was a great game. Pish tosh to the one who said GC didn't have great 3rd party support (but I get where you're coming from)
