SSB:Melee was probably the Gamecube's biggest selling point, just behind Windwaker, Thousand Year Door and Metroid.
However, to name a few non-exclusives, I still firmly believe that SC2, XG-3 and (please don't hate me) Tony Hawks 4 worked best on the Gamecube. Mainly because of the button placement - it wasn't as screwy as people thought.

I play my gamecube more than I use my PS3. At the moment I'm on Melee but, I'm also having more fun than I should be having with GO! GO! Hypergrind. I need to get back into Thousand Year Door...

I freaking loved the Gamecube. It has a lot of popular games that were well-loved, even if Wind Waker got bashed by a bunch of immature children trying to be all "hardcore." But because it was so ignored later on, it also has a lot of sleeper hits. I hope to catch up on some of those someday...

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requim, was one of the best; and unfortunately under-rated, games of it's day. Only on Gamecube.
THIS!

In addition, I did not like my GAMECUBE, I *loved* it.
Wind Waker is my favourite Zelda game.
I though Luigi's Mansion was hugely underrated; though I have a Luigi bias.
The aformentioned ED is one of my favourite games ever.
The GCN RE4 is the first one and second only to the Wii version which melds the goods from the PS2 version with awesome controls.
At least one good Star Wars game; the launch one.
I was waiting *years* for Animal Crossing.
Etc... etc...

Er, you didn't mention the best version of Ikaruga, Eternal Darkness, and Metroid Prime.
The GC was crippled by lack of third-party support, but had some spectacular first and second party games.

I liked it. I always thought it was a great console for when I went to my dad's house. and Custom Robo, Pikman, and Battalion Wars kicked some ass.

I still play gamecube games, i love smash melee, and i have tracked down copies of Mario Kart Double Dash, Time Splitters: Future Perfect, Resident Evil, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin 2, Metroid Prime, and Super Mario Sunshine, and anyone saying that it had no good games should be referred to any of the great games that I just mentioned

It wasn't a bad system, and it certainly had it's moments. the Tak series, Thousand Year Door, Melee, the Mario parties, Mario Kart, Wind Waker (best Zelda game ever. period.), and let's not forget Eternal Darkness and Killer7.

I have more games for the Game Cube than any other system...

Some games I really enjoyed on it... Metroid Prime, Zelda Windwaker, Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Lougi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Pokemon Colosseum, Animal Crossing, Wario World, and... OH!

CHIBI ROBO!

To name a few...

Ok so I notice that more than a lot of people I know bash the Gamecube. The biggest reason for this being that it had no good games. To this I call shinanigans. I freaking loved Smash Bros., Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, and Wind Waker. I even liked Mario Sunshine and that Starfox game with the dinosaurs. Don't ask me why I liked them but I did. So I wanna know, did anyone like something from the Gamecube?
umm, the metroid prime games?
Not canon, but still quite awesome.
Also... i want a sequel to starfox adventures. >.<

I never bought many GameCube games, but some of my favorites on there.

Wind Waker and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door are some of my favorites.

My favorite system aside from the SNES. The Metroids, Smash Bros, the Resident Evil remake and RE4, hell my favorite game was Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. A faulty game to be sure, but the premise was so much fun. I still play my Gamecube regularly.

GC was awesome, I actually like its games more than the Wii's.

SSBM, MK:DD, Path of Radiance, Kirby AirRide, Wind Waker, and so many others.

I loved my Gamecube! So much fun I had with that thing...with these games:

TimeSplitters Future Perfect (dear god I loved that game!)
SSBM (another one I really loved)
Super Mario Sunshine (completed it a couple times)
Pokemon Colesseum (used to be a sucker for pokemon...)

Probably some more...

Mine also was the platinum coloured version :D

I remember for Christmas '01, I got my brother a PS2 and he got me the Gamecube- I still don't get why there was so much hate for it- I had friends that also had Gamecubes so it kind of made sense for me to want one and to play with them.

Metroid Prime
Super Smash Bros Melee
Rogue Leader (still fucking love that game)
Killer7
Wind Waker
Soul Calibur w/ Link
Mario Sunshine
Eternal Darkness
007 Nightfire
Pikmin 1 & 2

Not all the games I had were solely for that console, but I had a lot of fun with my Gamecube, definitely my money's worth.

Me and my friends had GBAs, and were starting to get jobs around then and spent our first paychecks to get link cables and we all played Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles- in hindsight, that was a dick move to force that kind of investment for multi-player, but it was a great summer, beating that game with my friends, playing soccer or something when we needed a break.

Jesus, that was 9 years ago I got that Gamecube?
I feel old.
