Who here will not be playing GTAV?

Now that GTAV is officially out, it's fair to say that anyone who can play the game and want to play the game will be absent from the internet today so that they can play the game.
But no interest eclipses the entirety of humanity, so a few of us won't be playing Grand Theft Auto V anytime soon. Perhaps you're working, perhaps you're occupied with another game or perhaps you're just not a sandbox person.
What are your reasons for passing up GTAV?

I won't be any time soon. I still have too many games to finish up before looking at it. The series never really appealed to me, to be honest. I love sandbox games so I'd probably enjoy it, but I don't ever force myself to play something until it really calls to me, and GTA has never called to me. I'm content enough to get through the Borderlands DLC and maybe finish off Red Dead Redemption, finish the Dishonored DLC, play through Far Cry 2 another half dozen times, finish Saint's Row 3 and check out 4, and maybe take a look at The Last of Us. GTA will just have to wait.

Can'T afford to buy a new game at full-price, so I'll pick it up when it drops in price.
Have a few other games left on my to-play-list anyways...

Lack of interest. Reviews might change my mind, but the previews I saw did nothing for me.

Let's see... I won't because I haven't really liked a GTA game since III. Vice City was ok, but I had no interest in san andreas. I got to try out IV first, but they took the fun out of it by the constant annoyance of your brother/cousin? and how the buildings were just set-pieces. I liked the driving and how it looked though.

I also almost never pay full price for a game, I have a ton of games in my queue, and my wife would kill me if i bought V (she's a teacher and really hates GTA). So lots of reasons not to buy it this weekend.

I wont'; as a rule, I don't get games when they first come out (way too pricey for me). Also, I got a ton of games during the Steam sale, most of which take a decent amount of time to playthrough once, let alone multiples, so I won't be getting a new game for some time.

Hm, unknown. Havent't played GTA IV yet either. Looks like it still is 20 Euroes at Steam for example. Maybe in a sale.

So far i am not that motivated, but i guess the games should be "alright". So maybe when i am bored and don't find anything else, i might try them.

I won't say I'll never play it, but I think I might wait until the "Complete Edition" or whatever they decide to call it comes out a couple of years from now.

I'm not a full price kind of gamer. I tend to only buy on sale so I won't be playing GTA V anytime soon. On top of that, I've never been real big on the GTA series. I enjoy them but never became a rabid fan. On top of all this, the PC is my preferred platform so when you add all of it up, GTA V is a maybe play in about a year.....if steam puts it on sale.

After GTA IV, I'm not very interested in GTA V. I'll more likely get it if the PS4 version rumor is true.

Eh, I might play it eventually, but the number of games that I feel any desire to play right at release is tiny. Maybe one a year - and this franchise isn't it.

I mean, I've had fun with some past installments of the series, but they're just not on my list of favourites.

I won't, and probably never will. After playing Saint's Row, playing the "supr srs" game SR was supposed to be a parody of does not sound appealing to me at all. The only GTA game that ever sounded appealing to me was I think GTA2 or 3, whichever one has the really broken physics that people post videos of on YouTube all the time.

Probably not; I think I've played my fill of 'crime sandboxes' up to this point. I rebought San Andreas earlier this year, to discover that all I really liked about it was the radio.

I loved GTA IV, though. But I only borrowed that from an accomplice, so I don't really have much meaningful to comment.

Lack of interest in the brand and its premise. I probably wouldn't even be in a GTAV related thread if not for the fact that the title and OP are asking why I'm not bothering.

1) I have a huge backlog as it is.
2) A day only has 24 hours.
3) There is only one of me.
4) I spend the better part of my 24 hours sleeping and working.
5) I like to play my games inside and out, leave no stone unturned - long playthroughs, 100% completions.

Conclusions: Before even considering my financial budget, my temporal budget already makes it clear that there will be no GTA V in my near future.

Is it on PC?
No?

Then no, I won't.

(Due to Gregs review this thread might get real flamey real fast)

Me because...I just don't care. I have said many times I played Vice City for all it was worth, I loved it, I played it for about two years none stop and because of that I feel city sandbox games of this nature just don't have anything left to offer me.
I've done everything that can be done or at least explored the big main juicy bits these games have to offer and now I really just don?t see the point in dropping 60 dollars every time a new one comes out.

If I want to get into car chases, go guns blazing out in the streets goof around jump off buildings ect, I?ll just turn on my PS2 again sometime and play Vice City again.

And if some want to argue with me ?the core game may be the same but what about the story? the problem is, I don?t care about the story, If I want to watch a crime story play out I?ll watch a Scorsese movie, also there is just nothing there to intrigue me.
I?m not interested in games set in the real modern world, distant future sure, a nice dash of sci-fi and I?m sold(Watch Dogs) or give me something as insane as the last three Saints Row games and I?ll be just fine, but when it is just a plain replication of what is outside my window it doesn?t interest me.

Actually, Greg's review did a lot to sway me on this, so I'm grateful for it. I was under the impression that in previous GTA games, your character is of the "thief with a heart of gold" type and tries to get out of the bad life, even if he does a lot of bad things along the way. But from Greg's review, this one doesn't sound like that. I have no desire to play as someone who kicks a man to death for the crime of catching me with his girlfriend. Yuck. So thanks, Greg! Saved me 60 bucks...

I don't have either a PS3 or a 360 so i will play it once it comes on PC and that too not right away will wait for a price drop or a sale.I am honestly not pumped for GTA V it may be good but i would not go out of my way to play it.

this girl! And it's not because it's a bad series or anything, I've just never been a huge GTA fan myself. although I do enjoy watching others play. plus, at this time i don't have the funds to be picking up a brand new game at $60 or so as well as all the other games i have still yet to finish.
