My earliest memories involve a Sega Mega Drive. Shortly after that my family got a Playstation and PC. Oh the good memories of Monster Truck Madness and Gran Turismo :D

My late brother, may he rest forever in peace.
I'll never forget him critiquing my Sonic playing and introducing me to some of the best franchises and storytelling the medium has to offer.
I still miss you man. RIP.

Both my parents. My mom always played Galaga, and my dad played PC games like Starship Titanic(or something like that.)

Not a clue.... was playing the original Doom at age 3.... I must've been the original "Let the games be the nanny!"

o_O Oddly they've completely changed gears and think I spend waaay too much time with games.

My brother, who showed me the frustrationfest of Sonic.

My parents don't game; my mom doesn't because she doesn't quite grasp the concepts (this is a controller, mom, you use it to control the game...) and my dad doesn't because he never wants to learn a game.
My mom is EXACTLY the same. The woman manages to figure out ALL the functions of her blackberry no problem...but cannot handle 16 buttons on a controller.

My uncle introduced me into gaming with a simple spelling game that had a fuzzy monster for the Commodore 64.

I think it was my sister (who is four years older than me). We used to compete for control of the NES. I'll admit, she was better than me then. Probably because I held the controller upside down.

Well, my brother and I played old time PC games like the Age of Empires series, he had Doom (parents didn't let me play), then we got a PS one and I think the first Croc game was my first one. I never beat it though. The first game that I beat on my own was probably one of the Spyro games. I don't remember which one though.

When I was 4 (1997), my Dad showed me a Sega Genesis with the first Sonic. My mom soon after gave me her old GameBoy with Super Mario Land and Tetris.

My dad pretty much bought me all my consoles.

My older cousin who had grown out of gaming, (if that is even possible), He gave me and my brother his SNES, with Super Mario World, Mario 3, Mario All-Stars, NHL 95, Super Mario Kart, and a super scope without any of the games for it.

A lovable green guy with stitched up lips called, Abe.

I played a good deal of Mario, Tetris and Kirby as a little kid, but it wasn't untill I discovered Abe's Oddysee that I fell in love with gaming.

My older brothers. Starting with Megaman 1-3, then the first Castlevania, followed swiftly by Batman. Ninja Turtles (all of them for the NES). Bomberman occassionally. And if I was very lucky I got to play Metroid and Legend of Zelda.

I didn't really get into gaming until Megaman X (SNES) my first game. Followed by TMNT: Turtles in Time, Super Mario 3 & World. Which carried on to Warcraft 2. Which carried on to Diablo 2. Which carried on to Super Smash. OoT. Majora's. Bomberman 64. Super Mario Sunshine. Warcraft 3. Melee. Luigi's Mansion. WoW. Megaman X4-6. Sonic Adventure 2. Soul Calibur. List goes on obviously ._.

I grew up with an NES and a Sega Genesis. Sonic and Kirby are still two of my favourite characters to this day. Loved S3&K and Kirby's Adventure.

Sort of self-introduced, with help from lots of other sources.

My parents showed me and my siblings how there were pre-installed games on the Windows PC desktop we had, I then somehow ended up getting Age of Empires II after playing some at a friends house. And after seeing how much we enjoyed PC games, our parents eventually got us a Playstation (They had heard our friends had consoles, with games we liked to play). They did the research themselves, and felt that the Playstation had the greatest variety of games, along with a more advanced CD technology. They got us Spyro the Dragon and Disney's Hercules (in French) along with the console.

I've been hooked on video games ever since.
