Now that its known that Tim Schafer is ready for it what publisher do you think is MOST likely to take a chance on Psychonauts 2 and why?

I would like to see it done by the people who made TimeSplitters 1-3 (Free Radical or Eidos im not entirely sure nor am I even sure either of the two still exist haha) Idk why other than both games are hilarious with great characters and just good old fashioned fun gameplay.

So who do you think is most likely to take the plunge and why?

Eidos was bought out by the turds at Square Enix, Free Radical was bought by Crytek and they haven't decided whether they're going to make TimeSplitters 4.

Maybe Valve, since Erik works for them now.

Damn that doesnt sound too good for Timesplitters but I could see Valve making the sequel as they seem to like oddball games with a good sense of humor and creativity

Eh...I kind of don't want there to be a sequel. Part of its charm and appeal was that it was unique. Turn it into a franchise, and that uniqueness is gone.

Yeah, I would put in my vote for Atlus as well. If you can market a game where kids can make monsters come out of them and fight what are essentially gods, I think they will give anything a shot.

Not to mention marketing a game where you play as a surgeon. Seriously, I doubt anyone but Atlus could have pulled that off.

...Ok, MAYBE valve. :p

Atlus did "Trauma centre"? I didn't know that. Wow, live and learn

Didn't the publisher of the original Psychonauts nearly go out of business because nobody bought it?

For better or for worse, I don't see it happening any time soon.

I'd assume EA.

Brutal Legend's sales weren't great, but I believe it still turned a profit.

And EA has been trying to garner good will amongst gamers lately.

But I foresee EA making it digital only. Which is fine with me, tbh.

Also the last TimeSplitters game was published by EA.

Why not try something different, why not set up a paypal and all the fans can finance it together, keeping studios from interfering?
