Who is playing Killing Floor still?

Hey guys, just heard from a friend that its a pretty good game, and I saw a review of it here on the Escapist. I've never seen it played first hand...but I bought it on the merits of my friends suggestion. Its downloading now.

So, anyone playing it here on the Escapist? Any groups made for it? Seems like a pretty fun game to get a bunch of people banded together to play every once in a while!

Well I just got back from playing for about 2 hours. Pretty damn awesome if you have a bunch of people on Ventrilo playing along(or in game talk as well, doesn't matter)

I can't run it at home but whenever I go to the gaming center down the road I play it. It's pretty fun, it's sorta like Left 4 Dead combined with Nazi Zombies from Cod:WaW. That's the best description I can give without actually writing out ever little thing about it. It's definitely worth playing.

I am. What I love about Tripwire games (and yes, I know there are only two of them) is the gunplay. The way the guns sound, and the way they recoil just feels powerful.

YuheJi got it spot on. I can't tell what it is exactly; sort of a combination of the sounds, the tiny bit of screen-shake you get, and the ironsight view...
Anyway, me and my friend can honestly say we've had much more fun with KF than we ever did with L4D. And yes, there are still PLENTY of active servers around.

I agree completely after playing it. Don't get me wrong, L4D was fun...just wasn't exactly mind-blowing like it was made out to be.

This game is far from perfect as well, but it hits closer to what I was looking for then L4D did. Lever Action Rifle=Awesome in slo-mo by the way.

Its best comparison to L4D might be Survival mode, except all the design has gone into making that as fun as possible. Enemies come in waves, and it tries to be sure the wave is usually just about manageable.
I guess I could talk all day about the gameplay, but fact is a free weekend starts tommorrow, so you might as well try it. Let's just say I never thought L4D was too fun, but I really enjoy KF.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of mixed reviews- which has kept me from throwing down any cash for the game, but I'll be trying the game this weekend.

played it since it came out, get on every once and a while now, its a very fun game if you can get a good group

especially when the server breaks and fun stuff like this slaughters your party

I still play (sometimes) good to see that a new update coming out today (10/22/09) adding new maps/weapons/zombies etc. I'll be playing it again when update is out.

I play it with mates, great fun game. Shits all over left 4 dead (I wouldn't be surprised if people get annoyed with the constant comparisons, but it is really what I was expecting from left 4 dead).

Yeah, I already bought it last night. I convinced my friends to at least try the free to play demo this weekend. I'll play with peeps from here to, so feel free to pm me on Steam (with your Escapist username so at least I have an idea who it is)
