I mean, if you consider that perhaps 50% of the current population is women, and 50% of them more or less belong in the period of age women are most often considered attractive... You get maybe 1-2 billion potential choices without taking out "not my type", "just ugly", and so on.

Now you look at the whole history of people, a few thousand years back, and consider how many people have died.
