Who is the most awesome character from a book?

The most awesome book character I have come across is Drizzt from Forgotten Realms. He has the maddest fighting skills ever. Plus, it's nigh impossible to kill him.

Anyway I read the Drizzt stuff. I read it for a while and then realised I couldn't stop. The problem was that I wanted to stop because I didn't like to books or any of the characters. R. A. Salvatore uses these narrative tricks to get you hooked, you know, cliff-hangers and stuff. For instance my favourite character

causing me to keep reading. When I figured that he

only came back to life

so you would keep reading I felt cheated and tricked.

In short, those books got on my nerves.
