Despite the WWE trying their best to forget he ever existed, and despite the horrific tragedy that was his death, I would say Chris Benoit. There are very few wrestlers who do/did more than Chris Benoit. Nobody quite "lived" the industry like Benoit. He was one of the only wrestlers to ever take chair shots directly to the head (like, not in the safe way). He was trained in the Dungeon. So please, WWE, stop paving over the past, and induct the man into the hall of fame.

Who cares? It's all fake anyway
This
I third the notion.
And I'd like to endorse this statement as well.
Thank you for adding nothing to the conversation. Wrestling is not fake, it is choreographed. Much like a ballet. And, like a ballet, professional wrestling demands an incredible degree of physicality. However, unlike the ballet, wrestlers perform 300+ days a year. The business takes an incredible toll on them, physically and mentally. Try being home only for a mere 3 weeks a year. Try not seeing your wife and children for weeks, or even months, at a time. Try not being there for some of your childrens' major life moments. And try doing all of this while travelling all over the world, injuring yourself, and dealing with people who demean your profession.
Wrestling isn't fake, only the plot lines are.
