IMO Captain America is the worst superhero of all time, not only because he is American (dont take it seriously), but because he was killed by a bullet, an ordinary, plain, absolutely not special in any way...and he was just plain dead...that's just pathetic.
That was kind of the point of the Captain America he was just an Olympic level human, so bullets would kill him

May have already been posted, but you may want to read the more recent issues of captain America.

I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!! For me also Toad from Brotherhood of Evil Mutants...he can leap high enough to change your bulb and then lick you to death...scary...

Captain America = shite. An exceptionally lame character even when the cold war was still relatively hot. Props to the guy that chose to kill him!
Care to explain why the embodiment of a country's values is shite?
Actually,if u think it over,Superman is the embodiment of America's values...

Captain Britain anyone? (The name is bad enough on it's own but when you consider that he's probably trying to get a free ride off of Captain America's popularity then yes, it is even worse).

Why are people saying batman!? He's not a super hero and no one ever said he was, it's like saying Rorschach is a super hero.

I have to go with superman on this one he really sucks the fun out of action by being invincible.

I think it's pretty much established that it's aquaman. Even the guy who created Aquaman knows he sucks.

Yes, because heat vision and flight are excellent representations of America's Values... Are you kidding me?

Superman and Captain America both stand for Truth and Justice. Notice that Superman doesn't shout "Truth, Justice and the American Way" in any of the latest movies, comics or TV series?
The American Way is a lot different to what it was when they created the character.

You also may notice during the "Marvel: Civil War" Captain America saw a bad law being passed and decided to fight the government like the Founding Fathers and many other Americans. Marvel had him killed because he no longer represented the ideals that Americans held. Most Americans are more than happy to have their rights taken away these days. Just try reciting the fourth amendment as you walk through an airport.

I would have to say "Sentry" is the worst superhero around at the moment. He is essentially Superman in the Marvel Universe but with no personality. Also just by him existing one of the biggest threats is allowed to exist (Void). Being put under the authority of the Green Goblin isn't exactly helping his case...

I actually quite like Captain Britain, is America the only nation allowed to have a patriotic hero? Though Union Jack is a lot cooler. Captain Britain's powers are magical and heavily connected to King Arthur/Avalon British mythology, and they can only be used in Britain making his name all the more relevant.

Sure the name is similar (for of course the aforementioned Captain America popularity) but that's the only similarity, Captain Britain is more likely to be traveling back to the middle ages, fighting dragons, dealing with evil sprites, chatting with Merlin and occasionally wielding Exaclibur.

Captain Britain and MI13 was one the best comics series recently and it's a shame it ended (at 15 issues).

That's really the point of Sentry, he's got the powers of a god but he's can barely keep it together, you have no idea if hes going to go toe for toe with a villain or run away like a little girl (World War Hulk and Secret Invasion respectively). He's a flawed Superman and I love the way Norman Osborn managed to manipulate his emotions so brilliantly.

He also seems to be the whupping boy of choice in comics when you want someone strong for the main characters to defeat, both the Agents of Atlas and Hercules seemed to handle him very easily.

Edit: I read too many comics...

Angel Petrelli from that TV show Heroes. She essentially is able to dream about what could possibly happen in the near future. She uses this ability once, I think, and that time she gets it wrong.
