Right now Black Stone Cherry's new album has been stuck in my cd player and on my MP3 player. It kinda made Slipknot's new disc its *****, even though I think the new Slipknot album is good too. I just love me some Black Stone Cherry.

Wow I'm shocked they haven't been said yet but favourite would defiantly be The Doors closely followed by Led Zeppelin. Some other ones i really like would be Aerosmith, Tenacious D, Karnivool (woo for Perth bands) and Red Hot Chili Peppers but for the Chili Peppers it would be their stuff from the Blood Sugar Sex Magik era even though their new music is still great it's just not the same.

Gotta say Dream Theater takes the cake for me. I see that Rush has taken a beating, so I'll just delicately say that I do enjoy DT's musical proficiency a lot, but that's not the sole reason why they're number one for me. Their lyrics and songwriting speak to me in ways that other bands don't. It's just a matter of taste, really. If I'm feeling down, my mp3 player somehow shuffles to a song by them that fits my mood and usually winds up helping me along.

But, in other tastes, I'm pretty diverse. I am very fond of traditional Irish music (Chieftains, for example), but can just as easily enjoy the growling of Opeth, and then hop to some good ol' Bob Dylan.

Metallica would be mine, I've been listening to their first four albums and Death Magnetic on repeat for a few weeks now. But when I'm not listening to Metallica I'm listening to Megadeth. I don't see why fans of either band are always fighting. Both are great bands, but I must say that Megadeth has more bad songs than good. Well, not necessarily bad, just really really boring.
