Go ahead.

*prays to the almighty science that this isn't seen as shameless self-promotion...even thought it probably is*

I don't normally care for video game reviews, but when I do, it's Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler. Stay thirsty my friends.

Yahtzee and AVGN are my favorites right now. I used to like X-Play before they made that idiotic format change. Now it's like CNN and equally boring.

Jim Sterling of Destructoid,

He's no troll, he just knows how to properly score a game.

http://www.destructoid.com/review-deadly-premonition-165168.phtml

"When we judge a game like this, how do we do it? Do we judge simply on gameplay? If so, the repetitive combat and long drives around town may very well mark it as a mediocre title. Do we judge it on story quality? If so, then we have a game that makes no sense and frequently makes light of murder and sexual deviancy. I say a game needs to be judged by how often it made you happy, how much you laughed or became excited, and how long you spend thinking about it after it was finished. If we judge it by those standards, then Deadly Premonition, my friends, is simply stunning. No other game has made me laugh so hard, laugh almost to the point of tears, laugh just by thinking about it. Deadly Premonition may well be the first game reviewed almost purely for its comedic value, but for a game so funny, it has to be done.

Deadly Premonition is beautiful. No, not graphically. Graphically it's atrocious. It's a beautiful trainwreck, and it's well aware of the fact. Despite this game being quite like everything ever made, there's nothing quite like the game itself. There is absolutely nothing in this industry that can compare to how weird and wonderful the whole experience is. Judged as a piece of entertainment, as a game that consistently surprises and amazes and leaves jaws hanging, I have no choice but to say that Deadly Premonition goes above and beyond. This game is so bad, it's not just become good. It's pretty close to perfect."

Gametrailers. It used to be Gamespy when they did 4-5 page reviews. Since that has changed and the review quality has dropped considerably, I go to gametrailers because it actually tells you what the game is about, the general game mechanics and you get to see the gameplay.

I go to Feedback and Weekend confirmed as the two panels of opinions on the two podcasts are so different yet insightful I can enjoy the review and still learn what I need to learn. For written I do love Abbie Heppie, Patrick Klepic, Adam Sessler, Ben Reeves, etc. I'm not picky... that or a lot more people are really good at writing reviews now. Oh, and I never go to Yahtzee for reviews only caricatured opinions and well written articles.

I'd have to say Yahtzee for entertainment, though I don't take his word a lot. I'd have to say Gamefaqs user reviews. Sometimes their scores are weird, but the info you learn about how the game mechanics work and if it is enjoyable is really nice.

I agree with your vote for Angry Video Game Nerd. I think he makes some valid points about alot of the games and movies he reviews, and he's pretty funny. ^^

With all due respect, before Yahtzee there was nothing. AVGN was sorta funny and honest, but wasn't relevant to current games. I'd listen to the guys from Penny Arcade, or Ctrl+Alt+Del for some insight... but as far as "Reviewers that got paidoff erm i meand paid to review games for a living" I didn't trust.

So if Yahtzee didn't exist, I wouldn't have a favorite.
