Revan was pretty epic. First, he saved the Republic from annihilation at the hands of the Mandalorians. Then, he disappeared for awhile, only to come back as a Sith Lord bent on conquest...which turned out to be part of a huge Xanatos Gambit to defeat the Sith Empire. And it would have worked, too, if it weren't for Malak the Giant Douchebag.

Plus, y'know...

He's you.

Its impossible for me to have just one. But among mine,

Revan. He is probably the most interesting Star Wars character this side of Darth Vader. He saves the republic, comes back to destroy it, then saves it, and sets out to keep it that way.
Obviously the Old Republic shows us Revan was unsuccessful. What a torment.

Cade Skywalker is up there to. Almost a literal definition of a reluctant jedi. Kyle Katarn is also pretty awesome.

It's a tie between HK-47 and Darth Sidious for the dark side characters. For light side characters... Tie between Old Ben Kenobi and Yoda.

To be fair the Empire didn't attack the Republic until nearly 300 years after Revan left to stop them. His actions must have at least had SOME effect, even if it was just in the "stalling-them-until-the-Republic-is-ready" sense.

Actually, according to current canon, the Sith Emperor may have even finished ahead of schedule. HE wanted the Star Forge to move the invasion up by about 500 years, but even without he still found a way to launch his attack before anyone was ready for it.

I've always found Obi-Wan to be a beast. Sir Alec Guiness is great.

Also, Jango Fett, and Kal Skirata from the Republic Commando books, I guess Mandalorians are cool.

Well. That's...depressing.

Darth Vader hands down, in actuality the most important person in the film canon, with the most interesting story. How he fell and then when he redeemed himself are two of the few film moments that actually drew some emotion from me. He also has the best voice of any character to be conceived.

Darth Revan. No contest. Specifically, a female Darth Revan. I don't really care what arbitrary judgement Lucas decided upon, I've played KotOR loads of times, and each time was as a female. I even started a new game yesterday. As a female.

Yeah Kyle Katarn, i wonder if people know he was the one who stole the Death Stars plans?

And also his nemisis(?) in Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast. Cant remember his name but he looked like a dinosaur.

Thats what makes Revan such an interesting character. Despite all his sacrifices and turmoils, he ultimately could not maintain peace in the galaxy. What's more is we don't even know what exactly happened to Revan. And to a greater exetent, the fate of the Jedi Exile who went after him.

Did they fall prey to the dark side yet again? Were the cut down by the emperor himself? OR did something much stranger happen?

Who's to say...

Dessan. He was a bit of kindered spirit. He was shunned by almost everyone he ever met, which is why Kyle felt so bad after killing him.

I'm gonna go with Sith characters on this one, Darth Revan, Darth Bane, Darth Sidious, Darth Sion, I can't choose one, though the first two are definitely Revan and Bane.
