Spoiler: My favourite straight up super-hero (no anti-hero or ironic traits) is Nova

He was kind of Spiderman meets Green lantern, but a few years ago he really grew the beard during Annhilation the first of several awesome Marvel Cosmic events (far better than any the stuff that was happening on earth).

He came to earth and found out about the Civil war, having this dialogue with Tony Stark

Nova: Galactic culture nearly collapsed. Billions died. The Skrull empire's gone. Xandar, too, along with huge chunks of the Kree territories. Quasar died in front of my eyes. Even Thanos was killed. And you heard something... vague?
Iron Man: You say Annihilus was the driving force? What happened to him?
Nova: I pulled him inside out and saved the universe. What have you done lately, Tony?
