Let me start off by saying i love villains in both gaming, books and media because some are more evil and some are the stupid kind of evil.

So let me ask you fellow Escapists who is your favorite villain and why do you like them as such?.

I love the Major from the Hellsing Ultimate series because he gives off such a villainous image that he revives the last remnants of the Nazi regime (The Last Battalion) and fly's his blimps all the way to Britain only to bomb the center of london to smithereens and it doesn't stop there he sends out his undead vampire Nazi army to carry on the slaughter of what is left in the city below that is caught up in the hellish nightmare he created.

And what makes him such a great Villain to me?, the man doesn't know when to quit and he lives for the purpose of having a massive war and winning or losing it he doesn't give a damn about it as long as his war was the biggest war of them all and also below his following speech on why the man loves war.

Kreia from Knights of the Old Republic 2.

Not a single doubt, and listening to any of her Endgame speeches is enough reason. It's late and school starts tomorrow so I can't take the time to post them, but I'm certain they are on Youtube.

...Gary, yeah the one from Pokemon. That guy was a douche. Second place goes to the Joker, or Apocalypse.

What no Hades? I like Byakuran, even though I hate him, but he's just...Also Squalo, because he's funny and badass at the same time. He cut off his hand just because he thought it would help him be a better swordsman.

Oh that's simple, Morgoth. He actually was able to take over quite a chunk of Middle-Earth for a rather long period of time. He's actually still alive, he's just kinda stuck in a dimensional cell or some such.

Wiegraf Folles. Final Fantasy Tactics.

Former Holy Knight from a Fifty Year War who was thrown into the streets. Led a rebellion against the nobles. later joined the Church Knights...and made a pact with the devil. The apotheosis of a fallen knight with a cause.

I hated the fact that they didn't use him in a better light. He truly was one of the greatest characters in the FF franchise. And his boss fights, all three of them, are epic.

I love the intellectual villains, the ones who use cleverness and knowledge of human nature to bring misery to the protagonists. Thus my favorites have to be Iago (from Othello) and Johan Liebert(from Monster).

And that's terrible
Not the cakes! However will we celebrate birthdays without cakes!? It's like Lex Luther is trying to steal children's birthday celebrations or something. What has the world come to when billionaire masterminds resort to stealing cake? I have lost all faith in humanity =P

OT: I rather liked Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight. One of the best psychotic villain performances in my opinion.

Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica

He's uncaring, unkillable, deceitful, has zero understanding of human standards, causes the cast great suffering, claiming that it's for the good of the universe, constantly pressures a young girl into making a contract with him and does whatever it takes to get his way, and does it all while still looking quite cuddly. He also claims to not know what it means to deceive or lie, but you never really know if he's telling the truth or not.

It is oddly popular with people, but it is for a good reason. Kefka

See this guy? He actually SUCCEEDED in his world domination. Actually got a chance to be a god, reshape/destroy the world, and lord over it's people bringing them despair IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME. Meaning you have been playing BEFORE he was allowed to shine and screw a day up.

So yeah, Kefka, the mad clown who actually managed to do what he wanted to.

Probably Alex from Golden Sun. You don't even get to fight him. He was the manipulator, pulling the strings. The good guys don't even know whether he's a friend or enemy until the very end (but that was mostly cause everyone except for Isaac and Felix was an idiot). Still, an awesome villain.

Also Saren, because he actually pulled off the "I'm doing this for the greater good" villain.

Oh, and Revan, because well, Revan.

Don't worry, I was gonna say the same exact thing. I'll put up a video or two.

Not embedding them because they're Google videos taken from an amazing LP. Gigantic spoilers ahead.

Good Version [http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=3499729895149183484]
Evil Version [http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=4783425005198994301]

Fantastic scene either way, and it's largely Kreia who makes it so.
