So recentley theres been a lot of big news in video gaming land, wether it be the rencarnation of the duke or the news Portal2 will be on the PS3

But behind every great gaming decision is a developer

so simpley put, who is your favourite developer and why

(oh yeah tons of people are going to say valve so try and give it a good reason why)

For me i may have to choose Kojima Productions........There games are (genraly) inventive and original, and they try and push technology boundries where they can....plus im a MGS fan boy so that helps

Although Gearbox has certainly grown on me, i mean Borderlands was alright and everything their doing about duke seems pretty solid, i mean regardless of how the games going to turn out you have to admit they are trying to do the best for their audiance

Intelligent Systems ... they make freakin' Fire Emblem and Advance Wars :O

P.S. if Free Radical was still alive then that would be a very close second.

Ion Storm. Why?

Deus Ex.

Hopefully Eidos will live up to (or even surpass) the original, but until then, Ion Storm remains my favorite developer, merely for one game.

Hmm, either Intelligent Designs, Nippon Ichi, or GUST

Why?

Nippon Ichi: Disgaea, Soul Nomad, Trinity Universe.

GUST: Atelier Iris, Mana Khemia, Trinity Universe.

Intelligent Design: Fire Emblem, Advance Wars

Bioware or Retro Studios. The first is self-explanatory for anyone who likes great stories but Retro's Metroid Prime series was just amazing and the Donkey Kong game wasn't shabby either. Valve is also up there, but they lost some points with me with the L4D2 announcements not even a year after the first game, the crappy campaign released to the first game and the boxes you can find in TF2 that you have to buy keys for. I don't mind the MANN Co. Store, it's just those god damn boxes that piss me off.

Blizzard? Really? They're a joke. They're releasing Star Craft 2 as separate games. I don't care how big it may be, no other game has done that.

My favourite developer would have to be Bioware and Bethesda, they make their games well. Although, Bethesda could of beta tested New Vegas >_>

Bioware for the in depth story and character development.

Probably Ubisoft Montreal. I can't even count the hours of enjoyment I got out of the Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed franchises.

Relic is up there as well, for making awesome Warhammer 40.000 games. (Oh please, please, let Space Marine be as good as it looks.)

Bioware, yes you could call me a fangirl but to be honest I dont really know that many developers and I get confused as to who actually develops the games, I know Bioware and I think they are awsome

I would like viceral games if they made another awsome series alongside Deadspace (havnt playes dentes inferno)

Bioware! I've been a fan of theirs ever since Baldur's Gate. They pay close attention to both story and character, which is really the most important thing for me in a video game.

Bioware. They have consistently made games that appeals to me.(Baldur's Gate 1&2, Neverwinter Nights, Knight of the Old Republic, Mass Effect 2 and to a lesser extend, Dragon Age: Origins)

Blizzard is a close second, also because of their quality games. (Warcraft 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Starcraft 2 and WoW (unfortunately ;))

As much as I like Bioware and Ubisoft, I'd have to go with Rockstar. Because I greatly enjoy their sandbox games, and their writing. I also like how ambitious they are in their story ideas, like going from a mature, crime filled world to a naughty private school setting, then to a fading Wild West, and now a police-centered 1940s LA.

Wolfire Games. I love their games, and attitude towards their fans and customers.

Well outside of the obvious ones like Bioware or Valve, I'd give Paradox a vote. Their games are always comically broken at release, but they're really devoted to listening to the fan base and improving the experience. They also make better grand strategy games than anyone else. They also get some points for publishing the best indie game I've ever played, Mount&Blade.

As far as I know Bethesda actually managed to include bugs in Fallout 3 that were fixed by the community in Oblivion. Now that is a shitty developer.

Bioware, I have never played a bad bioware game and you could say Bioware has their own unique way of making RPG's, also they have a steady stream of quality products coming out all the time (games, dlc's)
atm I have 4 Bioware games on my shelve and 3 more will be added during this year

Larian...though that isn't in March Madness, sadly. I wonder why not.

Obsidian or Valve otherwise.
