I'm on my second play through, and I'm at the elite four and trying to think who should stay in and who should go, cause i do wnat Rufflet in for the fighting guy.

So... suggestions welcome.

EDIT2: My team for a contest we'll sometimes have at school, where you cna only use the orginal 150 pokemon, and none can be OU (by SS HG standards).

i tend to use a pokemon team that are made up of ONLY pokemon from that generation. example : only use 3rd generation in sapphire, 1st generation in fire red.

I could just have bad luck, but Blitzle's Special Defence is just stupid low.
He got 1 hit KO'd by a critical Bubblebeam from a wild pokemon 2 levels lower. (at level 20 mind you, no where near end game)

Breeding pokemon passed down natures and IV's from their parents. Giving you the opportunity to create your perfect pokemon. by making them do the nasty in a old shack along a road with a creepy old man watching them and stealing their kid. Not to mention you can make your wailord mate with a skitty.

hmmm. i'm dont know very much about this EV thing, but i tried hatching a shiny charmander. i failed miserably. now i have 6 charmanders in the pc. yes, i quit after 6. oh well.

I bred about 40 Bagons just to get the right nature.

my updated heartgold team! i grinded in victory road for the entire night!
meganium (moves: frenzy plant, solar beam, iron tail, and petal dance)

dragonite (with extremespeed, dragon rush, fire punch, and draco meteor) (most of my grinding right here)

arcanine (with extremespeed, i like that move a lot, flamethrower, thunder fang, and fire blast)

ampharos ( thunder, discharge, thunder wave, focus blast)

pidgeot (fly, steel wing, hyper beam,(uh huh) wing attack)

and last and most likely least, kingler (sort of slave) (surf, whirlpool, metal claw, cut) lol

You have to be really good at prediction to use this guy right, but if you can pull it off, you'll be rewarded with the best feeling ever. Nothing like stealing an enemy's Substitute and Focus Punching from behind it. Here's how it works.
They use a boost move: you either go for Snatch to use it for yourself or you can go for Focus Punch to smack them while they're setting up, following it with Sucker Punch for the KO if they don't resist.
They use a status move: you use Magic Coat. Their status move is now your status move, and they'll be crying about it.
They straight-up try and smack you in the face: Sucker Punch is your friend. Or you can switch out if that's not a good option.
They switch: Focus Punch. Barring Ghosts, it's gonna hurt whatever comes in pretty badly.
