The only reason im gonna' buy it is because its Duke Nukem, and I can say to my grandchildren "I once played a game that was in development for 13 years!"

I'm not, just to spite it's developers. If they're too fucking incompetent to develop just another sequel to a megahit like the Duke in a year or two, they don't deserve my $60.
I've played other Duke Nukem games and liked them, but I still don't know if I want this one. I'll confess to a certain level of irritation with 3D Realms for their spectacular incompetence over 12 years and it almost feels as though I'd be rewarding them for it. Yes, I know that Gearbox is finishing up the game but still...
To these people, it would be the greatest plot twist of all time of Duke Nukem Forever actually turned out good.
I've never played a Duke game before, and hadn't even heard of him until I came to America, so I might depending on the demo.

Never played the original (I'm 17, sue me) so I won't be buying it for nostalgia. The internet is my worst enemy/part-time lover, so I won't be buying it for it's "embodiment of many, many, many jokes". It looks like it won't be anything special, so I won't be buying it for some gimmick.
