The people I know who only like morrowind barely gave oblivion a chance.

If you invest enough time into either one you will get sucked in, and this is coming from someone who has been playing since Arena...

The games have only been getting better and more immersive over time... I can't wait to see what Bethesda will come up with this time around.

I'm conflicted. I played Morrowind and found it moderately enjoyable even without mods. I could not enjoy Oblivion even with them. And then the trailer was all about dragons. I just don't know what to think.

It could be I hated Oblivion because I played it on 360 and I have been told by many that I should be getting it for PC. So don't know yet, I am sorta excited and at the same time not really.

I sunk thirty hours into Oblivion twice. Once with mods and once without. Never got sucked in. Chance was given. Big fat waste of time.

Damn dude, even I didn't play for 60 hours...

But yeah, sounds like you really thought it was a waste of time...

Me,

No time to spend a 30 minute character creation to be plunged into a underpopulated world spare cities where you are the hero who trys to save the world by yourself

Oh man another fucking bullshit "Be the hero" game -.-
NEXT

I'm cautiously optimistic. I loved the idea of Oblivion but never got into it, if they do it better this time it could be brilliant.

I'm confused. If you people didn't like Oblivion, what game were you playing that replaced it? It's the only game that even attempts to do what it does, and I for one think that it does a damn good job.

Never got into any of 'em... I really tried with Morrowind and Oblivion... gave a good eight hours to each. Neither pulled me in. When Skyrim is $20 or less and I'm out of games to play, I might pick it up.

I'm looking forward to it. I played Morrowind, then Oblivion, and Oblivion was much better than Morrowind.
They got rid of the more annoying text menus.
They made the game more compelling.
They fixed the worst of the gameplay problems.

The list goes on. I'm just hoping they add more diverse and consistent townsfolk and a better crime system.

Are they going to make the characters look less like potatoes this time?

More seriously, I'll probably wait on this one.

I came in really late to the series, but I'm still as excited as the rest. Just as long as it doesn't suck.

Errr. I squee'd like a teenage girl when i heard about it, and i squee'd even harder when i heard the rumors about a new engine to run it.

I think you can guess me answer.
