As for a show I should be embarrassed for watching it, I guess that would be Sailor Moon and Totally Spies (althought I only watch both shows when I am bored). I did however didn't tell people I watch those shows.

Totally Spies was a great show! It was the perfect mix of Eastern and Western animation styles, even if the stories and concept were a bit derpy.

The only show I watched that I'm truly embarrassed about is Angela Anaconda. Then again, it partly made up for being childish and silly by being UTTERLY TERRIFYING TO LOOK AT!

So I just started watching MLP:FIM and it reminded me of another awesome little girl's cartoon from back in my day: Power Puff Girls. I used to love that show when I was a kid, and I got all kinds of Hell for it in school. So, anyone else watch a show you should have been embarrassed about when you were a kid? Power Puff Girls in particular?

You know both those shows had the same Producer, right?

No. They didn't. I'm getting slightly sick of seeing Faust get all the praise for shows like PPG and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. She didn't create or produce them, her husband did. She may have had an influence, but please quit showering her with praise for them. Praise her husband, Craig McCracken, instead.

Whoops, my bad, Faust was the storyboard artist on PPG and Foster's. But either way, who said I was showering her with praise? I hated all those shows! If anything, I was bestowing blame.

Then quit blaming Faust. And as for the rest of you, the ones who like ponies and Powerpuffs, quit giving her so much praise.

Who's to say I can't be both? I really liked PPG back in the day, and I really like MLP:FiM now. They're both shows for kids that have a lot of stuff for older audiences, so there's no reason to be ashamed of liking them.

Anyway, yes, I watched that show very often as a child. I kinda miss it, looking back on it now.

The opening line of every episode always cracked me up a bit.

My older brother would watch PPG with me when I was little and he was in high school so I dont anyone called that show out for being girly.

Hell yeah! That's enthusiasm toward liking Powerpuff Girls, not an answer to your question. I never really discussed or fully appreciated Powerpuff Girls when I was younger, but this summer I got into it again and acquired the complete series DVDs.

Powerpuff Girls was not originally meant to be a girls' show, nor were the actual released episodes necessarily targeted at girls. Craig McCracken says so himself in some commentary on the DVD and elsewhere.

I wouldn't say My Little Pony is better than Powerpuff Girls. I'm not sure which one is better, but Powerpuff Girls was definitely aimed at an older and more male audience. As good as Friendship Is Magic is, it was a unique combination of events that lead to its mass popularity.
