heh...one of my friends has a little brother. and once, when he was arround 11 or 12 or so, his mom walked in on him while he was masturbating to a poster of the powerpuff girls. since then the show was banned in that household. i WISH i could make something like that up.

Nah, she once had a crush on one of The Gang Green Gang (Was that their name again?). Faust's show seem to have a lot of similarities if you think about it. I think she works with Tara Strong in all her shows too.

OT: I fecking loved PPG. I'm a girl though, so it's okay. I remember there being blood and stuff in the title sequence, I doubt it would get aired now.
I used to secretly watch Dragoball Z, I don't think that was supposed to be a kids show.

First of all, Tara Strong is in EVERYTHING. She's like the Nolan North of cartoons.
Second, I liked PPG and DBZ both. I'm a guy, though, so it's a good thing that my dignity's protected by my massive ego.

I used to love watching Powerpuff Girls as a kid. Everybody in my school loved that show, even the guys.

I was never a Powerpuff Girls fan. Probably because I took the show way too seriously at the time. That said, though, I adore the closing theme song and do like the characters.

PPG was a hell of a lot more mature than MLP:FiM is. Him is possibly the scariest villain ever in what is ostensibly a kids cartoon

His voice was actually based on the Blue Meanies voice from the Yellow Submarine movie.

I liked the power puff girls when I was kid. But now I love and Respect them after I saw the "Beat-alls" episode were ever damn line and shot is a reference to the beatles, and a couple other episodes have beatles referances (one of the songs are called get back jojo and stuff like that) plus its well thought out and funny and enterating. Idc what anyone thinks, i love the show.

Havn't tried MLP:FiM yet but I might give it a try seems how so many are into it

My true passion at that time was Dexter's Laboratory. It was a fucking awesome show and I was able to do a great Dexter impression, voice and accent and all. That or Bill Nye the Science Guy

You do know you are now my favourite human being. I loved Dexter's Lab and Bill Nye. Downloaded and Burned all the Bill Nye episodes and made an EnSCIclopedia lol woulda done the Same with DL but I couldn't find any decent quality episodes. Boy did I love Dexter's accent.

I tend to agree with most people here, in that I absolutely loved Powerpuff Girls back in the day and love Friendship is Magic today. But heck, I also loved Totally Spies, Kim Possible, and a host of other shows that seemed "girly" or what have you growing up. Never got flak growing up, get flak for watchin' MLP now. I've always wondered why that is, and have had interesting discussions with friends over it. Ed, Edd, N Eddy was also a cartoon that I enjoyed, as was Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Lab was another...

Hell, I was a Sailor Moon fan as a kid and never got any mocking for it. So..yeah. All I wanted to say on that topic...

Neither did I. I think the classification of PPG as a girl's show is really based on the assumption of male main characters being the default, so any show featuring girls must be a girls' show. Pretty annoying, really.

Actually I was a huge fan of the series when I was younger. I'd say that most pony fans were fans of PPG, given it was worked on by the same kind of people and both are just plain good shows.

Powerpuff girls was pretty cool, I don't find ponies nearly as enjoyable to watch.

Maybe it's the lack of Mojo Jojo? He was awesome, and his voice doesn't sound like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

Still, it wasn't nearly as good as some of the other Cartoon Cartooons - Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory Ed, Edd and Eddy as well as Sheep in the Big city were absolutely fantastic.
