Anyone here played Sacrifice?

The quote on the box really says it all.

A truly awesome RPG/RTS hybrid, sorta like Warcraft 3 played from a World of Warcraft perspective. You are a wizard, you steal souls from dead enemies and use them to summon your army, and your goal is to destroy your opponent's shrine while keeping yours safe.

This is a game I got for free along with my old computer but never bothered to try it until a year and a half ago. Although I never played it online, the single player campaign kicked ass with a imaginative story, where you accept different assignments from a couple of rival gods, eventually forcing you to choose sides. Depending on which gods you choose to work for, you end up with different units, different spells, different missions and different endings. And since there's five gods, that's a lot of replay value.

Great game, really needs a sequel.
played it. liked it. forgot it. thanks for reminding, im going to play it again!

Chrono Cross, I kinda liked it, had an interesting(if not WTF-ish) storyline and some really weird characters. But I never hear about it.

EDIT: I just looked it up on Wikipedia and it was a sequel... I assume in the same way Final Fantasy II was a sequel to Final Fantasy, in that it's just kind of similar and not really related.
Chrono Cross WAS a direct sequel to Chrono Trigger, and that's why the ending didn't make any sense to you, the good ending refers to undoing an event that took place in the original.

As for games I wonder if anyone remembers... Buck Bumble for the N64, that game was awesome.

I could go into this subject, but dont want to stray too far off topic, so suffice to say, Chrono Cross is the messed up bastard child sequel/remake to Radical Dreamers (Involving Serge, Kid, and Magil as they break into Viper Manor to steal the Frozen Flame from Lynx), the real sequel to Chrono Trigger that was made for the Sega CD (Only released in Japan) that no one has ever played. If you are interested in Radical Dreamers, some nice people at http://radicaldreamers.sourceforge.net/ have made an English copy that can be run on Snes Emulators.

I've never played Sacrifice but they've chosen the best quote to put on its box.

Anybody remember Demon's Crest for the SNES?
Awesome Game. Did you know that Firebrand is form Ghosts and Goblins? Also, that that is the third game in the series. I found Roms for Gargoyles Quest for the Game Boy, and Gargoyles Quest 2: The Demon Darkness for NES. Demon's Crest is by far the most fun of the three, and the best game.

Wow, you don't know how happy I feel to know that other human beings on this planet have been able to enjoy such a great game. Yes i was aware that Fiebrand was from Ghosts and Goblins but I did not know about all those other games you mentioned that apparently are part of the Demon's Crest universe. A game missed by a lot due to the fact that it came out on the final days of the SNES, but a classic nevertheless; no other game (IMHO) was able to merge platforming, action, adventure and even some RPG elements so seemlessly; I loved the art direction too.
