I brought the new Zelda game from eBay for halve retail price $43 as apposed to $99. This makes me wonder, why did I even look in eb games first and does anyone else buy games over other internet shops.

Never bought a game from eBay, which is not used much in the Netherlands i think. Still, I do get everything digitally from Stea/Origin or especially g2play.net as they are way cheaper (steam can over price like hell sometime, but also be stupidly cheap at other times).

I don't like to wait for shipping. Also it ships and its completely up to that person to not screw packing it up. I prefer drive to store, grab game, swipe card, go home and play. Simple, easy and quick.

Never bought a game from ebay, never bought anything from ebay; I don't trust any of the sellers on ebay. Plus I doubt I'd manage to get whatever item I wanted for cheaper, knowing my luck.

I almost always buy games from physical shops.

I do, since I try to buy games new when I can and it takes too long to wait on Ebay. I don't mind spending the money to get games quickly. Not always, but if I can.

The two week wait is kinda annoying

I only ever buy a game online if I can't get it anywhere else.

I tend not to trust the internet with my bank account number.

Trust me, and buy my stuff!

I order off-line, from GAME or something and it always comes a day early; this is only for games I really want. Otherwise, I just buy the games in store in sales and such.

Fuck Ebay, Steam sales are where it's at!
Except for people like me who actually like to own a game. Digital distribution is fast, neat and efficient, but the trade-off is possibly losing everything if the service you use isn't around a decade later. Or worse, if they turn your account off because someone used a swearword at you on their message boards.

Do you live in Australia or something? Because $100 is awfully high for a wii game. I would buy them off ebay to if the price difference was so great. How in the world was someone selling a new game for $40? That's $10 off the regular price and that makes me suspicious. Did you get charged an outrageous amount for shipping?

But to answer your question I always go out and buy my games in person. I like going to game stores to look around, and I like not having to wait for shipping.

Yes I live in Australia, and I trusted the seller to do his job because of the 99.5 percentage rating. The shipping was'n't bad though, only $8.5.
I really hope I am not being played and get the game, should be a week away.

Yeah I still prefer to go to the shop to buy the game itself but I do sometime order games online but rarely (import, hard to find or cheaper).
Yes I know there Stream but I'm someone who keep an eye out on the bandwidth.

I've bought games from Amazon but never from eBay. I don't really understand paypal to be honest and it seems like most sellers only take paypal. I've got some great deals on Amazon but I know there are a ton of excellently priced lots on eBay. At some point in the future, when I'm more familiar with paypal, I'll start shopping eBay more. Also, I don't shop gamestop because of a local play-n-trade. Better than gamestop and they repair stuff! eBay can't offer repairs and there's no human contact, two setbacks to online retail.

I stopped using brick & mortar stores because I am primarily a PC gamer and last time I went into a physical store the PC section would be more accurately described as "the world of warcraft and the sims section"

I do, sometimes.
I bought Skyrim and Portal 2 from EB[footnote]Both were on sale when I went to get them too. Skyrim was $78 a week after release. :D[/footnote] a few weeks between each other in store, but Dragon Age 2 came from eBay [footnote]For $25, as opposed to EB's $80-something.[/footnote]. I also bought Grand Theft Auto IV's complete edition from EB online.
Pretty much every game I bought on my consoles though, when I had them, we're bought in-store. The only one bought online was Halo 3 from eBay.
I would use Steam more often to buy my games, but my Internet connection is crappy. When we get a better connection, I'll probably buy physical copies less, though I do quite like having the disc and case.

I buy all my stuff from Gamestop, since it is only a 30 minute walk and I know everyone there. If I were going to stop doing that, I would be getting them all from Steam and Amazon, probably not Ebay. I also live in the U.S. where the prices are not that high for a video game.

I still use gamestop. I like their rewards program.
I only ever buy games online if they're hard to find. it's how I got Makai Kingdom.
