LIES!
*swings away epically on a rope to the "Off Topic" button at the top of the thread*

Er, wait, what were we talking about? Oh yeah. Prom? Why on earth would someone's life be dictated by one silly school dance? Does this mean that I've missed the most important day in my teenage life, or something?
No, I do not mean that per se. I should have put a "probably" in there. Plus you know what it's like to be that age, at that moment for a lot of people it's the most important night of their lives. It does symbolise the end of an era, mind you. Leaving your familiar surroundings and your friends to start your own life away from home, so it's an important turning point.

I have this girl friend who was going to go on our version of prom a while ago with her boyfriend. They had arranged that he would come by her house to take pictures and whatnot at around 20.00 pm. Now she took hours to get ready, and so help me whatever deity you favour she looked beuatiful. However there was a little problem since the boyfriend was delayed a bit because of his parents but he'd try to get there. Now a little while later she called him to tell him she'd be delayed a bit because of her hair (apparently hers was being very stubborn). Then he starts to freak out and calling her names, shouting he didn't want to go with her anymore, cursing at her parents, and telling her he'll put her on the bus as soon as they got to prom.

This guy left his (now ex-girlfriend, naturally) in tears on one of the most important night of any teenager, for no actual reason at all other that she had a bit of hair-trouble. I'm having a really hard time comprehending why anyone would do such a thing.

What are your two cents on this? Any similar stuff happened to you or your acquaintances on prom?
And you're coming to a group of anti-socials that probably haven't seen a nekked lady that wasn't on the internet in years why?

...I will never know what it is like to be a teenager.

Is that a burn directed at yourself? Because last I checked Jim Doki had a pretty hot girlfriend in a stormtrooper suit. I despise you, Jim Doki...

From what I gather, that man-child is the scum of the Earth.
I agree...such cowardice and lack of honor...
Lack of honor maybe, but how exactly is the guy a coward? Ditching your date BEFORE you get to prom is a pretty ballsy move to be honest, especially if he didn't have a backup date waiting in the wings (and if he did he does get credit for being an above average villain).
Ok...so walking out on a girl who actually likes you a lot for no real reason is not cowardice...that guy deserves to be beaten, and not in a good way...
